Stonewood on Baymeadows has been our neighborhood gem for over 25 years. Last night was a disappointment for the first time! My old friend and I who are frequent patrons ordered apps — the perennial favorite Bruschetta and the house Salmon w alioli. The bruschetta bread was limp ….perhaps stale, and the garlic toast with the Salmon was definitely stale. We asked the server, Sierra for some fresh toast and she brought chips ( as in the chips used for the blue cheese chips app), and told us all the toast were the same. Sad! I was there on Sunday with my husband and grandson and had the same appetizers in addition to our entrees with no complaints!

As always, Stonewood Grill is exceptional! The food, and service are top quality. The chocolate bread pudding is the perfect ending to your meal with a cup of Stonewood’s splendid coffee. My all-time favorite restaurant!!

Stonewood is our go to place so we decided to celebrate our anniversary there this evening. Our server Savannah was sweet and attentive however what came next was a terrible experience. I ordered sea bass with mango salsa and was served rainbow trout which I do not like. It took 20 minutes to get the correct order without the topping it took the manager another 15 minutes to tell me they were out of mango salsa. When the manager came by he made it much worse by first throwing the server under the bus and then telling us that the cook sometimes doesn’t know the difference between the two fish WHAT? He then proceeded to lie and say the mango salsa was only served with ahi tuna which was a special a few weeks ago. Wow I go to this restaurant all the time and they always have mango salsa it isn’t special. Long story long it was a nightmare and he didn’t even offer to buy us a drink. Stonewood will not be my go to anymore.

Hello Debbie my name is Aaron, Im the Operating Partner at the Stonewood here In Baymeadows. I apologize if i wasnt clear in how I explained the miscommunication between the kitchen and Savannah. We ring our daily fish as a "dayboat" or "fresh catch" . Unfortunately you received the wrong fish because of that. Not at all was i trying throw my server under the bus. She is new to our staff and has been doing amazing with her guest. The mango salsa was featured a few weeks ago and she was under the impression that we still carried it. I cant apologize enough for your visit that you had and would like for you to reach out to me at your earliest convenience so we can resolve this. 904-739-7206. We were lucky to have Chase be our server again this month! The friends we had invited to join us, had a great time as we did having him as our server. Our food came out as requested, except for on of the guests, wrong side & steak not seasoned as she had asked for. Chase quickly took care of the problems & it was corrected. Other than that, we all had a wonderful time. We will be back & hopefully have Chases as our server again.

The overall experience was good. I had the Surf and Turf my wife had the French Dip. French Dip was a home run! Unfortunately the surf and turf was a flop. Steak was not ‘rare’ as ordered and it came with 3 tiny shrimp and scallops. I was offered to return the steak but decided not to because I don’t want to waste food, was told that I would be taken care of for the poorly cooked steak, but was not. Steak was well seasoned but had tough fat and grissel. Mixed feelings on going back.

It was wonderful!!! Chase our server was great! Made sure we had everything we needed . Offered great selections. Disappointed the birthday boy couldn’t get his prime rib, (why we chose Stonewood for dinner). but enjoyed ribeye instead. The surprise dessert was enjoyed by all. Very nice touch. Thank you! We definitely will be back!

It was a busy Friday evening with several large parties around us so the noise level was elevated. We were a party of four. Everyone enjoyed their meal although it was a little slow coming out because they were so busy. All the food came out hot and was delicious.
