Venerable, Long Island native, Chef Art Gustafson, has recently announced plans to build a new restaurant on Stewart Avenue in Garden City. Gustafson says the restaurant will be a “live fire” kitchen featuring a wood fired grill as well a rotisserie. The new venture will be named Stone Street Wood Fired Grill.

Our menu will focus on today’s classics reimagined with smoke and fire. Some of the exciting features on our menu will include cast iron skillet sizzling steaks and fish, garlic herb rubbed rotisserie chicken, rotisserie prime rib, house crispy wood fired wings, double stacked burgers, wood grilled pizzas and more.

Our large U-shaped bar will feature 16 craft and imported beers, a custom flavored hard seltzers house made to order and creative cocktails, all set in a trendy modern-industrial decor.

“We are building a deliciously fun dining experience for people who want exceptional food and drinks but don’t want to spend a lot of money,” says Gustafson.

They were closed, I think they closed down for good. I was not happen we had to find somewhere else to eat after we had reservations at stone street. They really need to update there website or leave a message on there answering machine that they are closed permanently.

It’s out of business! You should remove this restaurant from your site. We had a reservation and when we showed up, it’s completely locked up and closed for business.

Had a good time, and service was attentive. We started with the tacos and my wife had the Hawaiian skirt steak and I had the prime rib special. Both were cooked well and tasty. The s'mores gelato to end the night was tasty.

Not great food but nice place. I would recommend it for a quick bite to eat for lunch but not for dinner.
