OUR INSPIRATION
Stoke & Rye by Chef Richard Sandoval is a modern American grill with a menu reflecting both the Colorado landscape and Chef Sandoval’s creative stylings. Dishes are genuine, time-honored, and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving, and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great foods. Grilled steaks, flamed tomahawk, hand-cut steaks and chops, shucked oysters, house-smoked line caught Colorado trout and more comprise the menu highlights.

Located inside the Vail Valley’s award-winning Westin Riverfront, the spacious Stoke & Rye dining room is bright and airy, embracing the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains with colorful fabrics, earthy textures, rustic mixed metal design elements and botanicals. Or server, Alex, was outstanding and really made us feel like family. Manager Kevin was also really welcoming. Chef Angel does an incredible job!

This restaurant has quickly become one of our favorites. The food is amazing. The presentation is extraordinary from the special smoked cocktail, to the pasta cheese wheel, blow you away Tomahawk steak to the smoked Mason jar dessert. It's a splendor on the eye and explosion to the taste buds. If you haven't experienced this restaurant yet, you are missing out on a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Be sure to ask for Syndee's section,her knack to match the menu to your tastes is prophetic.

The kitchen was clearly understaffed as we received our main course 35 minutes after our appetizers. The restaurant was not full by any means. The French onion soup had an added seasoning which is not traditional. The main course was fair and the dessert was horrible - carrot cake. It tasted as though it came out of a frozen Pepperidge Farm’s box. I will not recommend this restaurant nor will i obviously go back.

Had a late dinner so it was quiet in the restaurant. Food was good but not great. Limited choices. Spendy. Service was good but rather casual.

An absolutely amazing evening with Spencer as our waiter. Food was cooked and seasoned to perfection and was by far the highlight of our trip. We even had the Manager Sarah and the Chef Matt stop by our table. Definitely a must hit restaurant in Avon

Service was lacking. Food was ok. I had to flag down a server to take my order, I was not read the special but overheard it at another table. my server was apparently busy bartending and serving a large table. Scenery was beautiful.

The service was excelllent. Our server was Uncle Alex he was outstanding and made for a special night. We will return next year and hope to experience another night with great food and excellent service from Alexander.

This was a surprise and special treat. First: Great menu. Second: Great drink list and wine list; Third: Great ambiance and seating; Fourth: World class waiter (Alexander!!!) who knew the kitchen and food like an old school pro. If I had a restaurant I would have stolen him away on the spot. He made sure that our first visit would not be our last. Half of the fun we had was due to Alex being our waiter. This restaurant is a must see. And the 3 plate specials were immensely great. Onion soup to die for. I wish the owners congrats! And thanks!
