This was booked as belated birthday meal for my best friend, and something to eat ahead of our theatre visit. The staff were great and attentive throughout our evening. Our food was so so good and we were seated at a really nice spacious table which makes for a better dining experience. When we asked for the bill the general manager Gabriel came over and spoke to us and told us about his training in Denver and Vegas and was extremely pleasant and easy to talk to. Was really such a lovely dining experience and ALL staff were this nice. We will definitely be back ☺️

I genuinely hate to be the person who leaves a negative review, I also (like most!) definitely don't have the time to be leaving one.. but our birthday meal at STK on The Strand was nothing shy of awful. I had been years ago and the food was beyond amazing! But last Saturday evening for dinner, both steaks were cold (the butter remained hard on top with no danger of melting..), the spinach was cold and still raw, the chips were cold and smothered in salt to the point of being inedible. Plus our starter plates weren't removed, they just sat stacked on the side of the table for the meals duration. Starters being a large yellowtail tartare with 3 singular crisps to scoop the whole dish with.. and 2 chicken sliders which were actually very nice. Dry, but still very nice. Our waiter was so rude and blunt. He presented our still bottle of water to us like it was a £600 bottle of wine, yet when it came to ordering the wine he audibly sighed when we asked for the wine menu and on the spot just asked "well what wine do you usually order?". Goes without saying, he then forgot to bring us the wine menu for 20 minutes after we asked again for one.. The manager was amazing, and beyond helpful trying to rectify our evening. She brought in the supervisor and head of staff who were so attentive and hands on, but it's just very unfortunate it took asking 8-10 times for assistance throughout the meal for this service. And sadly, despite all of their help, the food that was replaced, was still somehow overcooked yet undercooked, cold and the peppercorn/béarnaise sauces we'd ordered had clearly been left under a hot lamp and curdled before serving.. Just a rather depressing experience somewhere that used to be so great!

Steak and salmon mains were excellent. £10 for a small portion of chips was excessive as was being asked for additional service charge on top of the 12.5 %. Servers also pushed customers to have a starter saying would have to wait 25-30 mins if didn't (we didn't have a starter and our mains arrived approx 10-15 mins). Decor glam style as was cliental doubt we would return, probably venue for younger people.

Worse service ever, for a bill that was over £500 was absolutely not worth it, my boyfriend is a returning customer for many years and will now not be returning, our waiter seemed to have an attitude problem from the beginning, it then took 40 mins to get our first drink and have our order taken, he got drink orders wrong, it was then another half hour for desserts even tho we said to cancel them and just bring us the bill as it was well gone 11 pm at this point but the waiter didn’t listen again and continued to bring the desserts which we sent back and he had still left the service on the bill when he bought it over, will not be returning again and definitely not recommending.

Went to STK for the first time in years on Friday it used to be the place to be but really don’t rate it now. Food was mediocre - we got the after hours set menu and really regretted it it was probs the worst piece of steak I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The presentation was bad the broccoli came out cold the only good thing was the chips. Service was not great either our waiter couldn’t hear us and we couldn’t understand him. There also seemed to be an issue with us telling them the broccoli was cold we was bought more and it came too late as we started to eat the steak and chips and when we said didn’t want it anymore was left on table anyway and then we was charged for it when complained about paying was really awkward. Also £9 for a mocktail seems extra pricey a glass of wine was less. It wasn’t all that busy Dj was playing which was good but for what you spend expected more atmosphere. It’s a great place to look at just this particular night didn’t feel much vibes and food choice and quality on set menu is bad! We said may try the normal menu in future but for the money probably not worth it.

The steak was very good but the sides were just ok and rather small. The music was very loud and distracting. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time and took nearly a half an hour to get our check ready. I would not recommend this restaurant and would hesitate to to try other STK restaurants.
