    This was our first visit to STK San Diego and in a word WOW! Beautiful surroundings with an energetic vibe. Our server Justin was amazing. He was very attentive and made us feel very special. The manager YaYa was so sweet and made our evening a memorable one. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the New York steak and sea bass with asparagus and the mac & cheese. The shrimp cocktail starter was the best ever. Leave room for the little bag of donuts for dessert. It is a must have!

    It was great service and food exceeded our expectations. The happy hour menu has some great finger bite options for lunch if you are looking to get just the right amount of full

    A comedy of errors from the wrong drinks, food being brought out even though we had asked for it to be delayed and then food being served completely cold.server and management just blamed the kitchen. No compensation was offered for the bad experience.

    The table we were seated at was a little cramped because we were stuck in a corner. There were times that the servers were gone for too long and other times they came very frequently and interrupted our conversations. The lobster was over cooked and had some strange looking large blackish grey blemish in the meat. The steaks, prawns and brussel sprouts were very good. The bread with the various butters was good and the oysters were nice as well. The DJ was a nice addition but the music was so loud it was hard to communicate with the servers and my partner. I don’t think I would go back. Almost a great experience but just a good experience really. There are places in SD that are better and cost less.

    To start I had 1/2 dozen oysters. They were fine, nothing spectacular. I had the dry aged ribeye. The steak was overly salted. I used the mashed potatoes to ease the salt, so that i could eat most of it, which normally probably wouldn't work, however the potatoes were very oily, so it offset the flavor. The cheese crust on the mashed tasted burnt, but it was easy to move out of the way. The mac and cheese lacked flavor. The service was good. He was very attentive to our drink levels.

    Great food but entirely too noisy. Think we’ll try Morton’s or Del Friscos next since they’re nowhere near as noisy and comparable food.

    Great birthday celebration at STK. Had the fillet and it was incredible. just melt it in your mouth. I liked it topped with the umami butter. I had the special butter cake in the cloud . What an awesome treat! Omar helped us and he did a great job. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. The general manager Scott came by to wish me a happy birthday. It was nice to see the manager interacting with customers and running the ship.

    Major upsells, from water to butter (none of which they explain are an up charge) and they keep pushing you to order more even after you’ve told them you aren’t hungry enough for a larger steak. Of course, the waitress recommends the most expensive steak on the menu. The guy that dropped off the blue cheese bread that no one told us came with the meal was very rude. We said “oh, we didn’t order this” and he sneered and said: “Oh, You didn’t order this?.. it’s complimentary” - with enough attitude to fill a small stadium. Then he stormed off like we ruined his night. Waitress talked so fast and had so much energy that we questioned if she was on some kind of enhancing substance. all in all, will probably not return.

    Known for being one of the best Happy Hour locations in San Diego - and it’s true! For $100 we had 4 cocktails and 6 tastings! It was delicious and a great vibe.
