Hostess was great and server was too busy to provide good service. Ordered steak and got a steak knife by the time the food was cold. Ordered a drink and never received but tried to charge me at the end for it. Plus hair in the food.

Visited New Year’s Day for our wedding anniversary. I set up reservations ahead of time and also mentioned the special occasion when reserving. Upon arrival, we were seated at an undesirable table, so we requested a different option like a booth. Then we were taken to a booth next to an open outside door and it was really cold outside, so we requested sitting in a nicer area and was finally granted that. Because it was a holiday, service wait times were high due to lower staffing (the restaurant wasn’t busy). Our server was very kind and answered all of our questions but wasn’t readily available because she served the whole side of the restaurant by herself. The steak was good, but overall, the pricing didn’t match the value of the experience. Sides were $20 each but resembled the quality of a casual dining restaurant. We were expecting fine dining and exceptional service, but felt we were paying premium for “vibes” and instagramable ambiance (they had a DJ—aka not your daddy’s steakhouse). It ended up giving Sugar Factory but priced like a high end steakhouse. I visited an STK several years back in Chicago and loved the experience—great high quality food and service, while feeling modern. This location didn’t match my expectations at all and I don’t expect to return.

Just don’t go there on a holiday or a day like New Year’s Eve. They’re simply not equipped for high volume.

In all honesty I’ve had better for a third of the price service was okay once we were sat we were told we’d have a 90 minute time slot to eat due to nye which was understandable and I was okay with it but that being said it took almost an hour for our food to arrive which at that point we felt rushed and were ready to leave knowing we’d have maybe a half hour to eat ,I still tipped the waiter 20 percent of a 300$ meal for two people because I was not disappointed with the service but then again I was not impressed either

Disappointing NYE Experience at STK Dallas After searching online last minute for an upscale steakhouse in Dallas, we decided on STK based on the good reviews and their availability for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations of a nice, high-end dinner. We were a party of seven, including my 2-year-old grandson, and the issues started right away. The service was incredibly slow, and they only had two high chairs in the entire restaurant—neither of which was available. When I requested some orange slices for my grandson, due to the long wait for food, our waitress acted annoyed as if my request was unreasonable. The seating arrangement was also uncomfortable; seven of us were crammed into a small table with barely any elbow room. I had to hold my grandson the entire time because there was no space or accommodation for him. To make matters worse, the music kept getting louder as the night went on, making it feel more like a nightclub than a steakhouse. It was so unpleasant that we rushed through our meal just to leave. The staff were rude, the food was overpriced, and the overall experience was far from family-friendly. This is definitely not the place to bring a family or to enjoy a relaxed, upscale dining experience. I do not recommend STK, and we will not be returning. 1/5 stars.

It has always been a New Year's Eve tradition in our family to have a nice dinner. STK has been the poorest experience by far. When we sat at our table, we were told that we had a 90-minute time limit. This would have been great to know prior to the reservation, and in addition, when we were about to spend close to $1000 at your restaurant, it came across as tacky. My son ordered a Michelob Ultra beer and was told the restaurant was out of it. I was surprised, but the waitress offered him a Modelo, which he got. Then, my wife ordered a red wine. Ten minutes later, she was told they were out of the wine she ordered. She chose another. When it was time for my son to order another Modelo, he was told they were out of that one. Are you kidding me? On New Year’s Eve, you are out of almost all your alcohol options! We ordered dinner, and my wife and sons all ordered steak medium or medium rare. The steaks came out well done and medium well. Everyone was overcooked. We move on to dessert. We looked at the 5 or 6 options listed, only to be told we were out of most of those options and only had two choices. We asked for the check. If this is the norm here, it is a complete disappointment.

For the price of the food compared to other steakhouses in the area, the ambience is very low level. They have paper menus, overcrowded dining room. Kind staff, but lacks the appearance of professionalism. Overall, not worth it. It’s just a Instagram worthy restaurant.

Our waitress was impeccable. I cannot remember her name but she was training another worker and they were both outstanding. Highly recommend the braised short rib and the Brussels . Incredible.
