STIR is the perfect restaurant to enjoy a night out, host clients, or sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters. Located in North Hills, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Our cold bar and kitchen offers fresh oysters from North Carolina and beyond, traditional Mexican and Peruvian ceviche, and classic entrees and specials, all prepared from scratch.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation.
The result is a categorically elevated cocktail. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

We welcome Raleigh to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood from the cold bar, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

The food was great, the service was terrific and I would have had a wonderful dinner if I was at Stir alone. Sadly, the noise level was SO HIGH that I could not hear my husband. Oddly, this was not late on a busy Friday or Saturday night. This was a Sunday at 5pm. The restaurant was only 1/4 full but the music was so loud that conversation was impossible.

A bit loud with the jazz band (they seated us right in front of them) but the bad was good and while we had to raise our voices it worked out ok enough. Food was great. Pineapple Mimosa Jar was awesome.

I have to start by saying we went to Stir for the Brunch Service this weekend. I have been to Stir for dinner, which I would rate the highest ranking possible on all accounts. However, brunch was far from my dinner experience. I ordered the eggs benedict and it was practically flavorless. The breakfast potatoes were dry. My partner got the country breakfast and he was also less than pleased. He described the grits as dry, the eggs as fine, the biscuit as hard, and the potatoes as over cooked. The one good report from our group was about the steak frites, which our friend said was pretty good. I wonder if this is because they mainly do dinner meals. I also had steak at stir for dinner once and it was phenomenal. I’m not sure if maybe Brunch just isn’t their thing or perhaps it was a lot navigating brunch on Labor Day weekend specifically, but regardless it did not hit as good as their dinner scene. 100% recommend their dinner. 100% do not recommend brunch. I’d ask around for other opinions before deciding to do breakfast here just in case our experience was just a coincidental flop.
