STIR is the perfect restaurant to enjoy a night out, host clients, or sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters. Located in North Hills, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Our cold bar and kitchen offers fresh oysters from North Carolina and beyond, traditional Mexican and Peruvian ceviche, and classic entrees and specials, all prepared from scratch.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation.
The result is a categorically elevated cocktail. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

We welcome Raleigh to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood from the cold bar, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

Food was great however, the ambiance would be much better if they closed majority of the glass doors due to its chilly atmosphere which made customers uncomfortable. The waitstaff that attended to us was awesome but the one who served the food was impolite. He just dumped the plates in front of us and left. We were appalled by his service. We also had abdominal pain when we got home (2nd time it happened after dinner at Stir). We'd look for a better option next time.

We had a lovely evening at Stir. Our server, Becca, was excellent. It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed being able to sit outside because of the heaters.the hostess was about checking in to make sure that our server had been by to see us. We enjoyed a dozen oysters and the burger with fries and a wedge. The fries were excellent but could have been crispier. Overall a great experience though.

The restaurant has a nice vibe, and I like the open doors to let the fresh air in. The entrees were delicious, but we were disappointed that some things on the menu that we wanted to order weren’t available, like the swordfish and chocolate cake. The chocolate mousse dessert was good but tasted more like coffee than chocolate. The service was sparse, with long periods between visits from our waiter.

Overall very good experience. I wish the menu had more of a variety. A little traditional, and more options from both appetizer and entrées. Not enough to choose from so really just had to settle for something I could have made at home.

The cocktails are good but they do not have chocolate martinis. The strawberry lemonade was delicious. It was non alcoholic. The salmon, chicken caprese, oysters, and salads are wonderful. They had a special on the menu, cottage chicken pie with a salad which was not the best. Small and dry. Overall it was a fun atmosphere and we did not have wait long for our food.
