STIR is the perfect restaurant to enjoy a night out, host clients, or sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters. Located in North Hills, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Our cold bar and kitchen offers fresh oysters from North Carolina and beyond, traditional Mexican and Peruvian ceviche, and classic entrees and specials, all prepared from scratch.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation.
The result is a categorically elevated cocktail. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

We welcome Raleigh to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood from the cold bar, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

The edifice was inviting and fun. Service was great but all food and drinking took a bit longer than expected. Food was ok. I have eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was bland. The eggs were done perfectly. For a craft cocktail place, trying different ones, I wasn’t impressed. Our server, Connor, was attentive, pleasant and easily accessible. Due to high ceilings it was sometimes difficult to have an intimate conversation. I most likely will not be back for brunch as I’m looking. For a craft cocktail place with exceptional food.

My daughter and I went to dinner early in the afternoon. We were greeted by the hostess and seated promptly (we had reservations). Chaz immediately came to our table introduced himself, told us about the specials got our drink orders. He also made wonderful suggestions on the menu. The appetizer was great along with both of our entrées. My daughter got the halibut piccata, and I got the fillet with goat cheese, ravioli, both were exceptional along with the service!

I was disappointed with brunch today. My friend and I ordered different versions of eggs benedict. Eggs were overcooked, and there was barely any hollandaise on either. It felt like our dishes weren't finished before leaving the kitchen. Mimosas were huge but heavy on the champagne, too light on the juice mixers. The jazz trio was lovely and the best part of the visit. Probably won't go back.

We had a wonderful time at STIR. The food service drinks and atmosphere all set the mood for a wonderful night out. Xavier (Javi) was a delight to be served by and he made sure that we enjoyed every minute of our time at STIR. Quick service and very attentive to our needs. Thank you STIR.

My wife and I have not been to stir in a while, and we were comfortable with the notion that the overall charm remained. The host was amiable and showed great care with table placement. Our server, Becka, was warm and friendly, assisted with menu selections. The food was ok at best. We had the crab cake appetizer, and it was salty. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits. The cooks must have been in a hurry because seasoning was either forgotten or they ran out. I had the 6 oz filet cooked perfectly. Overall, the food would have been better if it had been hot instead of lukewarm.
