Our server was named Ryan and he was a delight. Service was quick, with many opportunities to give feedback when server checked in with us. I loved the Smashburger; it was for my tastes and bit salty. The “frites” were perfection. My husband had the Chopped Salad and added Salmon. Price was quite reasonable for the lovely ambiance and high quality and great service. The Pinot Noir added $16 to our meal and the coffee added another $3. Value-conscious folks might prefer the other options at the Philadelphia Museum. We liked the unhurried pace, the aesthetic decor, and the high quality and great service.

Nice setting for a break in touring the museum. Varied menu with many options. Would definitely recommend. A quieter and more leisurely meal option at reasonable prices.

Waitress and food and setting were wonderful for lunch after touring the exhibit. The hostess was darn right unfriendly. Not the right personality for that job.

Food is superb - high quality ingredients throughout, and artistically prepared. We had the tea service, and each "tier" was outstanding (sandwiches, pastries, and chocolate desserts). Service was attentive and helpful - our server even explained the dinnerware motifs, and how they tied into the Mary Cassat Exhibit that we went to earlier in the day. It is a somewhat pricey restaurant, but the value for money is apparent throughout the service.

Wonderful chef- small But impressive menu with something for everyone- fish- meat - vegan- vegetarian . Lovely mix of flavors the mushrooms on crusty bread were outstanding mix of flavors and subtleties.

The afternoon tea was a bit disappointing, especially for $45.00. There were two small sandwiches. One was strawberries and cucumbers on bread, which was delicious! The other was a tasty, thinly-sliced ham with butter. A third item on the sandwich plate was a plain gougère, a round puffed pastry, that was okay. It is my personal opinion that the sandwich plate should have included another sandwich. There were no scones, being a French style tea. So the second plate had a madeleine and a raspberry macron, which were a bit disappointing in flavor since the madeleine did not have the buttery taste I expected and the macron barely had a detectable flavor. The top dish contained two tiny, round chocolate truffles, a small macaroon, and a tiny tart topped with ground nuts. I am not sure what filling was in the tart, and the menu listed petit fours instead of the item included. Our server was very nice, but had not tasted any of the three teas offered and could not describe their flavors. Next time, I will order from the regular menu to try entrees prepared at Stir. It is commendable that the restaurant used some of Mary Cassatt’s family’s recipes and served items that the artist ate. The fact that the restaurant contributes to the art museum is great.

Lovely lunch at Stir after seeing the Mary Cassatt exhibit at the Philly Art Museum. Certainly better ambience than the cafe, quieter, table service was excellent, food was good especially the cabbage appetizer and coconut gelato dessert. You can’t beat the convenience of having a fine dining experience right inside this wonderful museum.
