STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the heart of Old City, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood. STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure. We welcome Knoxville to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality

This has been a great restaurant in the past but recent visit was very disappointing. Noise so bad it was difficult to talk, one dish had to be returned and was still not very good upon replacement--terrible fried chicken, dry and poorly seasoned. Another dish had a sandwich with soggy bread which should have been returned. I will give it another chance but hope this was a one-time problem.

I think that Stir is a good restaurant. I ordered the wrong things. The starter was an Asian noodle dish which was titled “crab” but it was short of crab and the poached egg was overcooked It was priced at $22. The entree was chicken Romano which was excellent. Well prepared, nice portion served on a bed of quinoa. cabbage and carrots. Price: $20. I plan to return and try some different choices. Sydney was an excellent server.

Our server, I think her name was Katie, was absolutely adorable!!! She was very attentive to our needs and was just a delight!!!! Wish all servers had her attitude and personality!!!

Our first time going to brunch there a year ago was excellent! We were greeted with a little tray of fruit, chicken salad, pita bread and cookies. This came as a total surprise! This time they seemed more interested in getting us to drink alcohol to the point that I finally had to tell them my daughter was pregnant! the appetizer tray was inside the restaurant at a bar that looks like it has been there since last night.

Maggie was our server & she was amazing. Great recommendations on food and drink- spot on! The manager brought over a sauce for me to try on my entree & again, fabulous. Can’t wait to go back- was with 3 friends & we all decided this is a place to have on repeat! Also- it turned into an unexpected cool night- the manager offered to light the fire for us- we were happy to stay a little (or a lot!) longer!

We had the best time! The atmosphere and waitress were both so much fun! The food is delicious, I could eat everything on the menu! Looking forward to going back!
