STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the heart of Old City, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood. STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure. We welcome Knoxville to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality

We have eaten here 2 nights in a row. We ordered totally different things and it was exceptional both nights. Also, we love our server, Katy!

Great ambiance, service, and all food ordered was great! The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars were the drinks. They were somehow out of both drink specials and the Old Fashion ordered was just not good.

Outstanding atmosphere! Our server was terrific!! Timing is important when it’s a special occasion and it was and our server was all over it! The crispy salmon bites were the perfect appetizer. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the grilled salmon and as well enjoyed the lobster crab cakes! (Did not have room for desert but may consider them next time.) over all, a great urban dinner adventure! Many thanks to Open Table and Google search for finding this gem of Knoxville!

I'm thinking maybe we caught Stir on a bad night. Staff was friendly for the most part. Cocktails were perfect. The food was hit or miss. I loved the crab bisque, but the wife's butternut squash bisque was average at best. The meat and cheese board was lacking in meat, just a few small slices. Something was really off with the rice on the tuna poke bowl. It was inedible. Our server dropped off our bill, then apparently forgot about us, so after about 20 minutes I had to ask the hostess for help. I was excited to dine there because of all the good reviews, but I doubt I'll be back.

Sunday Brunch was amazing!!! It was a little louder than expected due to a live band (they were great, just not expected 😊) Our server was fantastic and the food came out quick and was delicious! This place will definitely be on our “go to” when in Knoxville.

Everything was great, especially the crab bisque! Crab cakes could have more crabmeat and less filling though. Oysters were fresh and great salinity. Kaylee, our server, was awesome.
