Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill in Schaumburg provides for two ways to experience the made-from-scratch healthy Asian cuisine. One is to order of the menu and the other is to create your own dish at the fresh market bar. The recent 20-year anniversary milestone is being celebrated with a special 20th anniversary menu at Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill. The way the fresh market bar works at Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill is that you pick a style, pick the protein and then build the bowl with customizing. The styles include a soup bowl, noodle bowl or rice bowl. The protein options are vegetarian/tofu, chicken, steak, seafood and combination. The customizing options are adding produce, sauce, condiments and choosing a cooking option, either in gluten-free canola oil or vegetable broth. Fresh baos is included.

Service level is still terrific, but lackluster performance from the kitchen. Sloppy habits include seemingly pre-prepared foods (ie- grilled mushrooms) staying not so warm in holding areas. Not sure if we will go back to this location.

Unlike other Mongolian style places that I have been to (including other Stir Crazy locations) this location lacked a good portion of meat as well as any decent sides. Other locations have this amazing naan style bread and other options to add into your bowl. This place not only lacked those additional extras, but also had a small and simple selection to start with. None of the spicy peppers or sauces were hot either. Rather disappointing over all, but kids would enjoy making their own bowls...

I was a bit disappointed. I got the make your own, like I normally do. The choices were sparce once I got to the filling station. What was there, did not look fresh. Additionally, there were far fewer sauces to choose from. The restaurant was nearly empty, and this was early dinner time, so not sure what was going on. On a positive note - they dd add in calories for each sauce. That was nice to help with my choices.

Food was pretty good... But small portions. Fine for me but my husband wasn't satisfied. The service was a little slow and it was VERY loud in there! I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It has been a while since I have eaten here and I was not disappointed. The service was good and attentive. The menu had changed but everything we had was delicious.

When we arrived and checked in with our reservation they stated they didn't have a reservation for us. I had to show that I made the reservation through OpenTable and the hostess informed us that they hadn't pulled up the evening reservations yet it was 6pm, the exact time of our reservation. Seems as if they need to prioritize themselves, especially on a Saturday evening.

Upon arriving the hostess was not accomadating to our family with a baby and four year old. Our waiter was smug and had a massive ego. When we asked for an allergen menu he responded, "I am the menu." So I began to ask what has dairy and he didn't understand what that meant. He then checked a sauce card which he wouldn't let us see. When we did go up for stir fry the cooks didn't understand a dairy allergy either and thought it meant to clean a bowl. The food was lousy as well and we all regretted having it as the night went on. We will not be going back and would recommend they learn more about how to treat allergies and discussing this with patrons.
