STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

Appetizers were excellent! Truffle fries and oysters Rockefeller were really good. My amaretto sour was perfect. Salmon and chicken caprese were good but too much farro.

Lots of drink options including draft bears. Nice decorated restaurant with big bar. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Outside had flame stations to keep patrons warm. Good ambience!

We had great weather and a personable waitress for our outing to The Stir. The food was good. I don't recommend the parmesan truffle fries. They were dry and not very tasty. In contrast, the grilled chicken sandwich was delicious.

It was in the reservation twice that we were celebrating a birthday, however our server never acknowledged it. It was a later reservation with one of the guests being a student in class until 8, Our server took over 10 minutes to greet us yet was not prepared and had to leave again before getting our drink order. She was very inattentive making it clear she was trying to get off. We have dined many times and the food was below our expectations this time, but our server was extremely delayed with checking on us after we received our food and we didn’t care to wait any longer to order anything else at that point. She failed to offer dessert or clear any of the empty plates on her multiple trips to close our check out.

The food and drinks were amazing. Unfortunately, the service was so bad that it has to be included. As someone with celiac, I need my server to be respectful and knowledgeable. Our server did not seem to have any training or knowledge (it seemed like it was her first night on the floor based on her lack of knowledge). I was so uncomfortable that we did not eat an actual meal. We did have the seasonal seafood tower and it was spectacular. We went to state of confusion before for apps and the service was so outstanding, that it probably made the service here that much worse. Our reservation had that we celebrating an anniversary and so did the table next to us. With the same server, we had completely different experiences. The table next to us were acknowledged and they were given champagne. We had neither. I would recommend eating here because it was great food. The seafood was made perfectly

Service from my waiter was great. Checked on us very often and was very professional. I would definitely go back. Great location and setting and the food was pretty good. We had the char broiled oysters, blackened fish tacos and truffle fries. I would definitely recommend

Great experience. Ordered a couple craft cocktails, the caprese chicken entree, a “special” roasted chicken cottage pie, and a green tea cheesecake. All the food and drinks was spot on. Rachel H was our waitress and she was spectacular. Great attitude and very attentive. We will return and recommend!!!
