STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

Food was mediocre, service was poor, menu was incorrect specially the wine list Appetizers were New Brunswick oysters they were horrible. Prince Edward oysters were pretty good but not noteworthy. Lobster cakes were over cooked and halibut piccata was good, but the pairing with all the rest of it was not flavorful or appetizing . Would not recommend and will mot be going back there again.

Every course was delicious!! Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, our only drawback was that the only time we saw our server was to pick up plates at the end of each course so ordering drinks from the bar was a struggle. Everything came out quickly, just a matter of when we got the chance to order it!

Didn’t start well. While waiting for table we went to bar for a drink. Bartender had major attitude. No idea why. Got our table. Waiter was great. He made several good suggestions. Filet and ravioli was terrific. Veggies were excellent too. Halibut was overcooked and dry. Flavor was good though. All in all a good meal

Our server, Jared, was outstanding. Our food was delicious. The atmosphere was filled with energy. Paying for 4 hours of parking next to the restaurant stinks when at most you will be eating at Stir is 1.5 - 2 hours. In all honesty, the poor parking situation is why we usually default to another restaurant instead of coming to Stir. It’s such a shame since we really enjoy Stir. But to pay $12 before we even walk in the door is a turn off.

The oysters Rockefella were amazing and I’m from New Orleans. The best I’ve ever had. They have Sambuca mixed in. The char grilled oysters were very good but nothing like New Orleans. Steak Frites were very good. Our waiter, Joseph was extremely attentive and helpful with the menu.

Excellent food! Everything was delicious. I got the tuna salad and my husband got the shrimp and grits. Both were presented beautifully and they were some of the best food we have ever eaten. We also got an appetizer from the specials menu and I sure hope it will become a regular on the menu. It was the crab sushi bites!! Delicious. Our server had a great personality and the atmosphere in the restaurant is upbeat and fun. Great experience!

This was our first visit to STIR as we live in Brentwood but travel to Chattanooga on occasion. The menu looked great and the actual entrees did not disappoint! Both the filet and the fish were outstanding! The vibe is really comfortable and relaxed but yet upscale, and the noise level was minimal so conversation was easy. Our server Teresa was really good as well! We will definitely be back soon!
