STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

The food overall was really good! Unfortunately, the service was subpar at best. We had reservations and were sat right away in the bar area, but waited 20 minutes until we got service. Throughout our service, many of our dishes were mixed up with tables around us and it was hard to track down our waiter. W’d like to come back and try again because the food was yummy!

Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. My steak was cooked perfectly (warm pink) and was delicious. The goat cheese ravioli was solid and the sweet potato and beets were solid plus. My husband got the swordfish wellington and said it was solid plus. Drinks were good... just needed more carbonation. The "bubbles' were barely there.

We visited for the first time yesterday, what a disappointment. I ordered the filet with cheese grits and broccoli. The filet was still mooing, the grits were luke warm at best and the broccoli was cold to the touch. We had food ran out at 3 different occasions for a meal replacement. There was no acknowledgement from a manager until I waved him down. I paid for my meal in full and tipped accordingly. I am not looking for freebies and explained that to the manager , which he didn't offer any to begin with. The service was incredible, we had Lauren and she was great. The food however was sub par and just bad. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

Noisy, fun atmosphere in a cool building. Service was great. Food was innovative and good. Roasted veggies and farro (under main protein) were good but, disappointingly, just barely warm. Halibut and hubbie’s filet, over top, were piping hot and delicious. We would go back.
