STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

We usually go to Stir on the weekend and since we were in town decided to try a week night visit. Unfortunately I think the attention to detail during the week was a bit lacking. The servers seemed preoccupied and the food wasn't as good. Definitely wasn't our best visit. We will give them the benefit of the doubt though and go back again. I know it's not uncommon to have a bad night so we trust that our next visit will be better.

Had some oysters as an appetizer and they were great. My fiancé got the tuna bites as a meal, which was great. I had the lobster and shrimp Mac and cheese, but both types of fish were very overcooked and tough.

We absolutely loved stir!!!! Our waitress was PERFECT!! Informative, attentive, sweet, and cheerful. What more could you ask? The menu was intriguing and vast. The only problem was having to make decisions. The food AMAZING and the craft cocktails were delicious. Loved our evening!!! Thank you 😊

Not knowing what to expect we made reservations as we were staying close by at Hotel Chalet. We arrived right on time and were seated promptly. We we were warmly greeted by our server. Drinks and oysters ordered. Ordered entrees and a wedge salad (I didn’t receive it - I think it was too loud for her to hear to be honest) the drinks were good as well as the entrees. I believe the food and drinks were moderately priced for a decent establishment. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a place to land on for a Saturday night.
