Overlooking the beautiful Islington Green, you’ll be welcomed by a spacious and inviting atmosphere with a large open-plan dining room and kitchen, a lounge and bar to relax for a cocktail or two, as well as seating outside to watch the world go by.

Serving our signature quality sushi and sticks, along with an extensive drinks menu of cocktails, sake and Japanese teas – there’s something to suit every taste.

Our new year set menu for one - 'Stick To What You Love' is only available in January 12pm - 6pm at all our participating restaurants. Here, it's all about the sticks from the grill, miso soup and rice - hot and comforting. After all, we're a sushi restaurant even for those who don't like fish. Choose the Sticks Menu for a winter warmer (£19.50) Miso Soup STICKS (x5) -Shake Teriyaki -Tsukune Chilli -Ramu Niku -Shishito Yaki -Momo Nanban Rice (With Crunchy chilli, teriyaki, or chilli dip) OR, Dive into the Sea Menu for a lighter lunch (£19.50) Miso Soup Grilled Edamame Seaweed Salad Rice Paper Shake Not valid with any other offer, code or promotion.

If you're a parent with young kids (3yrs+), get ready for a chilled family lunchtime experience you’ve probably never had. Every Sunday, 11.30am - 4pm, at our newly opened Sticks ‘n’ Sushi on Upper Street in Islington, The Kids’ Table team is in residence to entertain your little folk with creative fun while you enjoy a long, leisurely lunch of sushi and sticks from the grill. Book a table and request The Kids’ Table, complimentary to all of our dining guests. Minimum age 3yrs and over. Kids menus at Sticks’n’Sushi start from just 10 per bento box, choose either sticks or sushi, or both for 12.

We loved our lunch at the location in Islington. The staff was delightful and the food was delicious. It was a date with our lovely new baby and we’ve enjoyed the experience so much. We’ll be back!

Visited many Sticks’n’Sushi in the past years but last night was the first time in Islington’s. Incredible experience, Charlie was amazing with orders and checking up on us! Will definitely be back.

We’ve been to this branch before for lunch and liked it so much that we booked a Saturday evening with two other regular dining friends. They were very impressed with the service and especially the food. It’s all tasty and a cut above the usual sushi places without being scarily expensive. In fact it’s very reasonable. The goma sauce with cauliflower was so delicious that we had to order another portion. I am vegetarian and was very well catered for. The mushroom croquettes are a must, I will be double ordering those next time.

Perfect NYE! Beautiful food and service. There was a bit of a wait on food which is probably expected given the day but it didn’t taint the experience.

Great new addition to our high street. We have been 3 times over the festive period as we had to take our friends. Its so relaxed but glamorous at the same time. We like to sit at the counter as the seats are really comfy and you can watch all the action around cocktail making. We also like the Japanese/Scandi design and the little nods to Japanese culture with the greeting and small plates. All the food is prepared with great care, you can splurge for a special occasion but also eat really healthily if you're on a special diet and not feel restricted.

Terrible greeting, left standing at door! We were told we hadnt ordered enough food-how do they know how hungry customers are?! Wrong dishes brought to table. No Tempura available but we were sold prawn ebi as a substitute-could not be further from Tempura and as it arrived suspiciously quickly was likely pre-prepared which hardened the batter sunstantially. Dish also had missing prawn tails on some prawns-sloppy presentation. After the meal was finished the waiter leaned right across the table to reach something from the adjacent shelf instead of walking around the table to access the item. The nigiri was excellent and the sticks varied and tasty but the meal was let down by the staff not being trained thoroughly and properly. Maybe turn the music down a little as the surfaces in the restaurant are all hard and reflect sound and leave some space between the tables as they are way too close together. All of this is easily solvable but it needs to be solved quickly.
