Set in the heart of theatre land, Sticks’n’Sushi Covent Garden guests can enjoy a Purple Rain or Yuzu Seltzer cocktail per person when ordering our Maki Maki pre or post theatre set menu to share (£52). Please visit our website to view the menu. Terms and conditions: Available every day 4pm - 6pm and 9.30pm onwards until 31st January. We loved the experience. My daughter has a severe nut allergy (specially walnuts), and we loved their determination to adapt and effectively communicate what she could and couldn’t eat. They have a detailed allergen menu that you can check beforehand in their web, which we did. Our server was great, very attentive and knowledgeable in the allergy matter, we didn’t catch his name but he was tall, I imagine the other servers are also educated, but we wanted to thank him for the experience. The food was very good, you could see the founder is danish as the salmon and back cod dishes were excellent quality (we’re Spanish so we’re used to better tuna but this one was really good nevertheless). our favourite was the black cod maki with red onion.

Food was exquisite even tastier than the previous visits by some how . Display and service were nice too . Overall very nice experience will visit again next year

The food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. The male waiters were lovely and accommodating, but the female server who attended to us was abrupt and rude. One of our friends is pregnant, and we requested well-cooked food for her. When she brought it over, she commented, "This is the stuff you don’t like," which was not the case—our friend simply cannot eat raw food. I also tried to ask her for recommendations, but she cut me off and told me not to interrupt, even though I wasn’t. While the food and overall ambiance were great, her attitude dampened what could have been an otherwise pleasant experience.

Was very excited to eat here. Impressed by the large space, the menu looked awesome with lots of photos. Spent around $150 on a platter of house rolls that looked lovely, but was honestly the most bland sushi we’ve ever had. Our other dishes were similar and the hibiscus margarita smelled like cough medicine.

Outstanding family meal! We were kindly squeezed in when I made a mistake with our booking. The service was great, the kids meals are fantastic and we have a sharing suggestion which was amazing. It was a special occasion so worth the money and the food is really special.

As always … a good blend of everything you want. Service was a bit slow today but other than that it’s still one of the best places to go.

The menu says "Cocktails" and in an italic font next to it that's difficult to read it said "no alcohol". We couldn't see this in the dim lighting and so we ordered two drinks for 12 GBP each thinking it would have alcohol. Turns out they didn't and our server never checked with us to make sure we knew. We asked if they could add a shot of gin to each "cocktail without alcohol"—AKA what any place calls a "mocktail" to avoid any confusion—and instead of changing our drink to match the price of a cocktail with alcohol (which would have been 14 GBP) they charged us 10 GBP on top of our mocktails. Poor experience, poor service, servers should confirm with guests, it takes two seconds. "Just want to confirm you know these are without alcohol?" would have gone a long way. I've worked in hospitality for years, even as a server, and this is just common knowledge.
