The original Steve's opened in 1991 on Old Country Road in the heart of Westbury. This is the newest and third location! It is owned and operated by the Vaccaro family who has been in the restaurant business for 40 years.

Steve's Piccola Bussola is Italian dining with big flavors, quality food, and dedicated service. Steve's revels in traditional, hearty southern Italian fare, but also touches on other regions as well. The sauces taste just as good now as they did when they opened twenty five years ago. They only use the freshest ingredients.

Steve and his son Joe are driven to give their customers the best experience possible from start to finish, antipasto all the way to dessert.

Dinner was delicious from the stuffed artichokes to the fried mozzarella balls in the most delicious tomato sauce appetizers! To the pork chop stuffed with broccoli rabe, mozzarella and prosciutto!! The waiters were funny, informative and polite! Definitely worth going to

It's really simple to say: Steve's Piccola Bussola serves really good food! It's tasty! It's genuine! It's quality ingredients prepared to bring out the taste of each dish. I think it is so necessary that an Italian restaurant have a really good red sauce. And Steve's delivers. The menu offers a really nice variety of dishes that you are familiar with (no going over the edge nouvelle cuisine here) and that's what I'm looking for when I want a comfortable Italian restaurant. Our table shared baked clams, chopped salad, chicken francese and linguine with shrimp marinara. Each was delicious. Did I mention the service? I should - polite, courteous, professional, prompt and helpful. Go to Steve's Piccolo Bussola of Hauppauge - you'll love it!

The food was good but the service sub-par. Waiter got 2 orders wrong (brought one wrong entree & too many salads) and didn’t refill the water glasses when empty. Also not quick to apologize, instead suggested I ordered what he brought. I agreed it eat the mistake & it was very good, but still.

We always have a Great Meal and excellent service. Sometimes gets a little bit loud, but still worth going because of it's consistency. Never a bad experience, and always fresh.

Food was excellent--Not sure what happened Friday night as the service was not up to normal standards and I understand it was a busy night, but maybe they had an off night--Still this is our favorite place to dine!!

We are NEVER dissatisfied when we dine here. We look forward to family gatherings and a delicious meal. The staff goes above and beyond during every visit. There’s no reason to dine anywhere else!
