STERLING is a luxurious bar located underneath the historic Stock Exchange
Hotel. You can expect live music, vintage spirits, rare wine and elegant cocktails all
served alongside bar snacks.

Please note that we only able to accept a certain amount of reservations each day as we leave a lot of tables for walk-ins, so please do not be put off visiting us if you are unable to reserve.

We have a 15 minute grace period for each booking.

We are a seated venue only and all reservations are guaranteed 2 hours at the table.

We are an over 18's only venue and do not accept cash.

Located in a parallel universe from the madness of Market Street. My favourite bar, if I’m not in the vicinity of Schofields 😉

We didn’t eat so can’t comment on food. The music was just too loud. G&T was average - expected better!

The cocktails are great, but it tries too hard to be something. I expected a relaxed cocktail bar to enjoy some early (8pm) Saturday night drinks not continual whooping and clapping after the piano-man finished each song. Also the barman having a football clacker does not make it a relaxing experience, if I wanted to go to a football match to pay £15 a cocktail I would have booked the Tunnel Club at Man City.

We did not eat food so could not comment We complained about the live music. Great musician but impossible to hear ourselves speak. We stayed for one drink and left. The problem with the venue is that it is too small for a live musician and the ceiling is low which makes it very difficult from a sound perspective. I LOVE live music and he was talented. The manager showed no concern and clearly disagreed with our comments. Drinks great and staff were lovely. Will not return when there’s live music. It’s a shame
