Located at 76 South Street, Stellina Ristorante is a fine Italian restaurant that hopes to be exactly what the name implies — the “little star” in the town of Oyster Bay.

Stellina Ristorante, with only a 40-person occupancy, will create an atmosphere of dining in a small restaurant in Italy — sometimes in the seaside of the Amalfi Coast, other times in the hills of Tuscany. Through seasonally-inspired, authentic Italian cooking, Stellina’s mission is to bring a small piece of Italy to Oyster Bay. The specially-crafted menu will include a variety of spuntini, pasta, pizzas, and more.

We (2 people) arrived and were seated at the table up against the hostess stand. It felt crammed and I could hear her taking calls. I politely asked if we could sit at a different table which was unoccupied. The hostess told me the table was “reserved”. Less than 10 minutes later a table of four was being seated by another woman and didn’t like the location. They obliged and seated this group of four at the table for two I asked for. Clearly, it was not “reserved” as we were told. The lack of honestly by the hostess was disappointing. The food was good, not amazing. I don’t get the hype at all. The servers were polite and friendly. Be prepared to be rushed through dinner. It’s a small place and they want to turn tables over fast.

Once again, an excellent meal. Sat outside for a change, hence the lower volume level, which wasn't the norm at this bustling scene. I love this place, as it never disappoints...

The food was good. The waitress got me the right wine for what I was looking inside. It was quite noisy, but when a place is good, it’s going to be noisy. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the food and ambience last night

Absolute amazing restaurant and dining experience. Dishes were amazing with subtle nuances of flavors that elevated each appetizer and main course ! Background music noticeably enhanced the authenticity of the experience.

Ate outside . Nice and quiet and it was a beautiful evening. Would recommend putting some planter facing into the parking lot so you don’t feel like you are actually in the parking lot. Delicious octopus appetizer but the roast chicken my husband and friend each had for dinner was pathetic. Smallest chicken we have ever seen( yes smaller than a Cornish Hen) and what was there was not extremely flavorful. To add the chicken comes with no sides ( which the waitress did tell us) we thankfully had ordered roasted potatoes. Definitely Not worth ordering for that price and size. My friend’s wife ordered lasagna which was delicious. Overall, would probably have to say go to Stellina for the pasta. BTW ,My husband came home and eat my leftovers.
