Stella represents an expression of artistry across the mediums of cuisine, art, and design. Italian for ‘star’, Stella is inspired by the traditions of the traveling hearth of the coastal and pastoral communities of Southern, Central, and Northern Italy, enriched with local, seasonal California ingredients.

A creative collaboration between restaurateur, Janet Zuccarini, and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.

Inspired by 1950s Italy and created by award-winning designer Wendy Haworth, the restaurant features bold architectural details, rich woods, and vintage-inspired furniture. The multi-level restaurant is complete with private dining rooms and an intimate terrace.

With an emphasis on unique dining experiences at every turn, Stella offers a refreshing take on time-honored Italian recipes, where the quality of ingredients takes center stage.

La restauratrice Janet Zuccarini et l'ancien chef torontois Rob Gentile ont conjugué leurs talents pour créer Stella, un superbe restaurant dont le décor s'inspire de l'Italie du milieu du siècle dernier. Le menu met à l'honneur le faste italien, qu'il s'agisse de crudos joliment présentés, de délicieuses pâtes artisanales, de pizzas romaines garnies de truffes ou de viandes cuites au feu de bois. La carte propose également des saveurs luxueuses, comme le beurre d'oursin et le caviar de truite fumée.

It is NOT worth the price. They want to see how stupid we are to pay these prices for PASTA. Sent my basic spaghetti with red sauce back because it tasted like, swear to god, Prego. It was lackluster to say the least and was $56. You read that correctly. My bf asked for a Tanquery martini because is violently allergic to Bombay and Sapphire, half way thru dinner he felt awful, got bill and was charged for 3 BOMBAY martinis, so....that was a fun night back home for him. Overall, beautiful restaurant, but the prices are an INSULT. The Orata may be worth it. I have no problem spending money at a restaurant for the vibe....I get it....but this is a level beyond. It's insulting, especially after that basic pasta dish tasting like something I could make. I would actually not buy that brand of bottled sauce if I made it to be honest.....so it showed me that it's a lot of smoke and mirrors here.

One of the best new restaurants in LA. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and polite (unlike most expensive restaurants in LA).

The $35 glass of Brunello was lovely…the food was not. The salad was primarily radicchio which was tough to cut. Buratta was lovely but had to spend $14 for sliced bread. The mushroom pizza was large but mushrooms had grit on them and not cleaned well. Ordered salmon…waitress missed that on the order…and them came back and blamed me…after she told me they were out of salmon…a signature dish. Substituted with Sea Bream which was too salty to eat and with bones. They also made us order everything up front…which is ridiculous….just takes away from the ambience of being able to have a relaxing meal. $300 and 45 min later we were out the door.

Beautiful restaurant. Our server was extremely patient with all of our questions and very genuine. Food was a delicious experience from start to finish. It was a special evening and we plan to go back.
