It was my first time eating at Stein's Beer Garden, and definitely won't be my last. Portion sizes are very generous and the flavors pop. Their fish tacos were absolutely delicious. My husband had the chicken tenders which I thought were very good. They were tender and fresh, not overly seasoned. I could tell they were hand battered and not received frozen and pre-manufactured like those served at most eateries. Service was also impeccable. Daniel was our server and showed us just the right amount of attention -- neither too much, nor too little -- was friendly and had a great personality. Thank you, Daniel, for the great service.

We visited on a cool night, so the patio (which would have been my first choice) was not attractive that time. Inside, the ambiance is good - but the noise level is tough; even the server mentioned it (couldn't hear us ordering). The menu is diverse and interesting and the prices not unreasonable. The service was very accommodating (allowing one of my guests to make multiple substitutions. But the service was slow. And when my guest asked for bread, we initially got a yes. But then no follow-up. Then we asked a busser. He got our server back (at least 15 minutes after the initial request). Then the server stopped by and said the bread would come in another 3 minutes. Nope! It was at least another 10 minutes. And the server didn't warn us of the charge. My guest who asked for the bread is the slowest eater in our group, so the delay in serving the bread (a simple request!) really destabilized our timing.

Had been looking forward to dining here for quite some time but was very disappointed.! We should’ve just gone to In n Out, where the food would have tasted better and been much cheaper!

The food was really good. The waitress had to be asked for the dessert menu and my ice tea and water were never refilled or topped off.

The service was poor. We sat outside at an empty table for at least 15 minutes, before asking to move inside. Then we managed to get drinks, but went to the bar to get our own water. After the food finally arrived, we had to ask again for silverware and napkins. Not a great dining experience for what was supposed to be a Father’s Day celebration. Will not return anytime soon.

Our server was fine but he had NO help. This lead to our drinks sitting at the bar waiting to be brought to us for 25 minutes. Not only did this happen once, but twice! The dining room was 1/2 full, the bar was empty, and we watched as staff walked by our beers just sitting there getting warm. Even the bartenders were just standing around most of the time. When I brought this issue to someone’s attention, they said they’d let the manager know, but no manager ever came by. I The food was good but not good enough for us to ever come back here with so many other options around.
