STILL one of my favorite steakhouses / restaurants in Chicago!!! I came here for my 30th birthday and then brought my mom for her birthday this past week - 5 years apart since last being here - and was still amazed by it! The food is truly top-tier relative to anyone in Chicago. The drinks are all amazing. And, finally, the service itself was truly, truly top-notch. When you walk in, everyone working stops and says hello to you, acknowledges you, and wants to support you. Our waitress was amazing. I recommend Steak 48 to anyone!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Our waitress Allie was the best. She knew every detail about each dish and made sure we never waited for anything as she brought expressed a professional yet friendly demeanor the entire evening. The Food was very good! We will definitely be back and already started telling others about Steak 48 Chicago! Keep up the good work and I love how they gave me a call the next day to see how the service was! Never had that happen before. That was such a warm addition to the great service they provide ♥️

Wonderful experience and the table staff was amazing. The quality of the meat was exceptionally good and tasted incredible inside. I will say that medium is actually quite rare on the grass fed New York strip that I got. Also they do prepare a chef made gourmet rub on the meat which includes cayenne Cajun and some paprika. It was a little peppery spicyThe brussels sprouts flavor was very good however they were quite undercooked. The Caesar salad with poached egg was a great recommendation. The manager seemed OK but slightly aloof. However, again my waiter was phenomenal!

My friend and I were at Steak 48 last night served by Juan, who was excellent! He was explained all of the dishes made wonderful suggestions and was extremely nice and fun! The staff did a great job and the food was amazing and the drinks didn’t disappoint either! Thanks to everyone for an incredible 1st time experience at your Restaurant!

An exceptional evening! We celebrated our son's 16th birthday and Steak 48 made it memorable. When we entered they wished him a happy birthday, when we were seated there was a birthday card from the GM, and the restaurant gave him a little present to mark his special day. Our server was attentive, patient and descriptive when assisting with explanations. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the large sides were definitely sharable and the dessert, heavenly! Overall, Steak 48 made this birthday tradition a memorable and exceptional experience. Thank you!

My husband and I have dined at this restaurant before and had a great experience. A lot has changed. The food was good but overpriced. The drinks are overpriced as well. A sidecar should never be $37…that’s the price of an entree. Gratuity should not automatically be added to the bill especially a party of two that dined at the bar. Again, this wasn’t our first time dining at this restaurant but it will be our last.
