Established in 2016, STATION 16 SEAFOOD RESTAURANT & BAR ORIGINATES FROM...

A fireman who gave up his career to help his girlfriend pursue her dreams of opening a seafood restaurant. Without any experience, these two kept pushing forward with their vision. What began as a dream would now become several establishments serving communities all across Sacramento.



Station 16 is the second franchise under the family serving the Midtown/Downtown Sacramento CA area. Its goal has always been to take care of its guests like family while providing flavorful seafood in a fun environment. Station 16 has been voted “Best Seafood Restaurant” for consecutive years.

    This is my first time at this EG restaurant, and I could not be more pleased. Delicious food and drinks, excellent service, and a comfortable, inviting dining room. I will be back soon!

    We went to Station 16 for my birthday. I wanted a glass of Twin Rocks Cabernet. They were out. Then I ordered a glass of Hess Cabernet. They were out. Then I ordered a glass of the 14 Hands Merlot. The only red wines they had were Meiomi Pinot for $23 a glass or the Justin Cab for $65 a bottle. So I ordered a Stella Artois. Guess what? They were out. Finally I just said what do you have and I settled on a Blue Moon beer. My husband said his gin & tonic was good. When we ordered our drinks we also ordered the shrimp crostini appetizer. About 20 minutes later the appetizer arrived but we still did not have our drinks. When the waitress came to take our food order, I asked her for our drinks and she hurried over to the bar and brought them to us. The shrimp crostini was good. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi ($22). He also requested a small dinner salad with blue cheese dressing. They do not offer dinner salads so that was out. I ordered the scallops ($36). When the food came, it was good. However, there were only three scallops on my plate. Most restaurants I have been to give five or six scallops. While they were good, I would not order this again as I felt it was overpriced. We were never asked if we would like a second round of beverages. No one asked us if we wanted dessert either. After we ate we sat there waiting for the check. The bartender noticed us sitting there and asked us if we needed something and we told her we needed the check. She got it for us right away. My husband paid. We stood up to leave. Then an employee appeared with a single scoop of ice cream in a glass with a drizzle of chocolate sauce on it and a very large, rather impressive sparkler, and told us this was for my birthday from them. It was a nice gesture. My husband and I shared the scoop of ice cream and then left. Not sure if we will try it again. Food was good but the service was slow, they were out of a lot of beverages, they do not offer a dinner salad, and a bit pricey.

    The venue was a surprise of the guests, everyone enjoyed the venue and service. Great location, very good food. Will be back more often.

    Service was great, but we wanted to order some Cabernet wine and they told us they ran out. All the cabs gone! They only had one option of red wine out of 5. We wanted it paired with our steak,. Steak was amazing, just unfortunate they ran out of wine. One other thing, we ordered 3 Moscow mules, 1 out of 3 times it came in the copper mule cup, the other 2 times in some random glass. Small detail, but it’s a detail that add or takes away from the experience. The food was amazing. We ordered calamari, ceviche, and NY steaks and all amazing!

    A Promising New Gem in Town with Room to Grow I recently had the pleasure of dining at Station 16 a new fine dining spot that’s already earning buzz. With its elegant ambiance and thoughtfully curated menu, it’s a strong four-star experience with undeniable five-star potential. The appetizers set the tone for the meal. The calamari and potstickers were perfectly executed—crispy, flavorful, and served hot and fresh. Moving to the mains, the seafood was a standout. The salmon over jasmine rice was a five-star dish, with the fish cooked to perfection and the rice providing a fragrant, satisfying complement. The shrimp scampi over linguini was another highlight. The white wine sauce was rich yet balanced, with juicy tomatoes that added a burst of freshness. Every piece of fish was masterfully prepared, showcasing the kitchen’s skill. That said, there’s room for refinement. The broccolini was underwhelming, lacking the vibrancy and seasoning expected in such a polished setting. Additionally, the timing of our entrees was uneven—two arrived together, while the other two lagged behind by a few minutes. It’s a small detail, but it’s those little things that separate four-star service from five-star perfection. The food overall was an excellent value, offering fine dining quality at a reasonable price. The margaritas, however, didn’t deliver the same value—they were decent but felt overpriced compared to the rest of the menu. Station 16 is off to a fantastic start, and with attention to the smaller details, it’s poised to become a premier dining destination. I’m excited to see how they evolve and would happily return for another visit.

    It was good overall but not worth the price. We got the big trinity, which was a lot of food for a seafood plate, but way overpriced compared to similar amounts of seafood at other places. We made the mistake of not asking for the price when it said market price as we thought it would just be in a similar range to other places and then were shocked when we saw it was $185 for that dish alone. We should have asked the price ahead of time, but just thought even on the highest end it wouldn’t be close to that. Drinks were also super expensive and they were out of multiple beers and an appetizer. Also had to wait about 30 mins even though we had a reservation. Overall the food and drinks were good and there was good service, but I’ve never spent that much for two people, and there are definitely places you can get similar or better food for a much better value.

    Food (two egg breakfast with bacon toast and potatoes) was good but took about 30 minutes even though it wasn’t crowded when we ordered. Portion size on the eggs and potatoes seemed small for the price and the bacon was not crisp. The one piece of toast was not buttered and not hot. Server was nice but service was uneven and not well-informed. I am rooting for this place to succeed. Hopefully things will improve as they go along.

    Great service from point of check-in, to waiting at the bar for a drink. (Try the smokey old fashion or french 75) to dining. Will indeed come back.

    Honest review: Our reservation was at 7:15 PM on Saturday night, but we ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated, even though the estimated wait time for walk-ins was 1 hour. During our wait, one other reservation was seated before us, along with a walk-in guest. I later learned from our waiter that the host had specifically assigned us to him, even though he was already tending to a table of 15. On a positive note, the drinks were amazing—the lemon drop and smoked old-fashioned were both a solid 10/10. The NY steak and Ribeye were generous portions and flavorful; however, we ordered them medium, and both came out medium-rare. The atmosphere is visually appealing, with a clean and stylish design. The color and texture of the seating, walls, and views are thoughtfully done. However, the temperature difference between the two sides of the room is noticeable—one half feels warm and inviting, while the side with the brick walls and roll-up doors feels colder. It’s a bit inconsistent but not a dealbreaker. The bar itself is stunning, and the bartender was attentive and professional, rounding out the experience nicely. That said, I’ve read that others have faced similar issues with reservations, which seems to be a recurring concern. I highly recommend the restaurant address this and streamline the reservation and seating process to enhance the overall guest experience.

    Made a reservation and when arrived was given the worst table in the house, excuse was large parties get preferred treatment. We ended up with a better table. Service was VERY SLOW. Waited way too long for cocktails and dinner. Apps were delicious and timely. Dinner was good. Servers were VERY nice and attentive until after dinner was served. Might return if I’m in the area but definitely won’t make the 40 minute drive again for dinner.
