On the past two occasions of visiting, the fried chicken tenders were ordered. Both times, the chicken was way over cooked, dry and hard, so I sent them back. On the delivery of the replacement chicken last evening, it was in great condition but there were no chips with it. After having sent the chicken back, the server returned with a tray of chips ‘to munch on’ as she put it. They were probably the chips that went back on the plate with the chicken and were COLD when delivered. Not tasty at all, and went uneaten. When she returned with the chicken, there were no chips. She offered to replace the cold chips with fresh ones but I declined. My husband’s meal came out fine with the first delivery so he had to go ahead and eat while it was still a good temperature. Therefore, not an overall good experience. We will need to think twice about returning, and recommending State &Main.

We went to State & Main on a Saturday night so the restaurant was moderately busy as expected. The music was a bit too loud where even the server was having difficulty hearing our orders. The service was a bit slow but our server was extremely friendly. I appreciated the non-alcoholic drink offerings. The food was delicious - everyone loved their meal.

As someone who's worked as a server for many years, I understand how challenging it can be to keep up when it's busy. However, our experience was far from great. We waited about 30 minutes (some even longer) without drinks, despite our server passing by several times. After we finished eating, we sat with empty plates for another 15 minutes, waiting to get the bill. Additionally, I had mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday—when I requested a booth and marked it as a special occasion—but there was no acknowledgment. I'm not sure if the hostess failed to inform her, but it was disappointing nonetheless. The server was very nice but unfortunately she was just not good at her job or she had a bad day either way we were def disappointed with our experience and we love this restaurant.

Good! Restaurant was empty and we were seated directly beside another table which was a little bit awkward. Food was delicious and our server was really personable.

I have never seen that amazing service here in Canada, to be honest! Everything was very good. The only recommendation- if you are not the biggest fan of spicy food and just want to try it for fun- don’t! You will have burning mouth till the end of the evening. It’s not minus, just a warning! Also it’s kinda cold inside, so if you don’t want to be freeze wear something warmer.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The brussel sprout appetizer is to die for. Their food is so scrumptious. The wait staff are also wonderful.

Food was delicious. My chicken tenders arrived too well done - the crust was bitter and hard. The server assured it would be replaced, left the plate and then replaced whole plate and left the fries from original plate. Service was courteous and efficient.
