Welcome to State & Main Orilla. We serve elevated comfort food and cocktails, providing a vibrant downtown atmosphere in your neighbourhood restaurant & bar. Our location off of Highway 12 on Monarch Drive is surrounded by many amenities. We're the perfect spot for dinner and a movie with Cineplex Theatre being right next to us! If you're looking for a day outside, you can visit the Bass Lake Provincial Park with your pup before joining us on our dog-friendly patio. Being close to Lakehead University means our restaurant is a good spot to have lunch in between classes during one of our twice-daily Happy Hours. Visitors from out of town can stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites before coming over to dine on our standout shareables. However you're spending your time and whoever you're spending it with, State & Main is here to elevate your day!

I had the black cod, it was u cooked and slimy. The portion size of fish was enough for a toddler. It was mostly salad. The spice was not cooked in the rice as described on the menu but rather a painted streak on the plate of spice sauce. My wife’s salad had far too much onion in it overpowering the taste of the whole dish.

Nice restaurant. I think the prices don't reflect the size of the meal you are paying for. Rigatoni was a bit blend. The cod was too small. Service was fast and vibrant.

My GI has always been strong and never prone to mild discomforts. After having the Bangkok Bowl though, my stomach was not happy at all. Went through me in about an hour. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Our server was outstanding! I am a celiac and he was attentive and understood the need for gluten free! Outstanding. It was my second time having a meal there this week! Definitely going to eat there again soon!

The blackened Cajun chicken should be called honey chicken. It was really lacking in Cajun flavour. Cooked great but not the flavour expected. I had requested a piece of cake to celebrate my mothers 88 birthday but it must have slipped through the cracks.

Great food, very accommodating to food allergies and modification of there dishes. Definitely will be back. Pricing was fair for the serving portions. Our server was excellent and very attentive

NEVER EAT HERE! Website on Open Table listed no availability outside at all after 4:15 so we had to book 4:00, yet when we got there the patio was empty and stayed as such until we left at 6:00. Waited an hour for the waitress to return after giving us water & menu’s, after I had to go inside to ask if she had abandoned us and if we could get a refill and order foody as it was hot outside. Another waitress took our order, when it arrived another 1/2 hour later the “crispy” chicken burger was cooked to a dark brown crisp, was very dried out and devoid of any seasoning at all. All three orders were returned. The order of fish & chips was again way over cooked, dry and tasteless but was eaten anyway. Asked for menus to find something else, never came, ended up ordering two children burgers as they/were unable to make a regular adult burger with only one patty. When the burger arrived it was a thin, unseasoned slab of meat with cheese on it that had a strange taste to it. The manager she said a lot of people complain about the food but that is the way it arrives from their commissary. I said why are you even serving it then? Had to ask again for a refill of our drinks. As we were waiting for 3 replacement meals while one was eating his fish, the waitress mindlessly come over and asked “how is everything tasting!” Totally clueless. When I got the bill, I was over charged about $15 and there was no consideration at all for the problems we had other than saying they were having problems with the staff, the menu and the food. Needless to say, we did not leave a tip and will never return to State & Main as it ranks near the bottom of the worst restaurants we have ever dined at globally. When I got home I received an email from Open Table that the rest. had cancelled our resv, obviously after I said I was giving them a poor review, essentially locking me out of review until I contacted Open Table who allowed me this review.

Went with another couple for dinner on Monday night. Food always good at the Orillia location, I had the Cobb Salad - definitely a big salad but so good. My husband tried the Butter Chicken Bowl (said it had a mild spice and will have that again) and are friends each went for the Teriyaki Bowl (both enjoyed). I highly recommend having the Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer...we always share and have never been disappointed. One of State and Main's best. Monday night is quieter, it can be a loud place on Friday and Saturday nights...service was wonderful.
