Welcome to State & Main Orilla. We serve elevated comfort food and cocktails, providing a vibrant downtown atmosphere in your neighbourhood restaurant & bar. Our location off of Highway 12 on Monarch Drive is surrounded by many amenities. We're the perfect spot for dinner and a movie with Cineplex Theatre being right next to us! If you're looking for a day outside, you can visit the Bass Lake Provincial Park with your pup before joining us on our dog-friendly patio. Being close to Lakehead University means our restaurant is a good spot to have lunch in between classes during one of our twice-daily Happy Hours. Visitors from out of town can stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites before coming over to dine on our standout shareables. We decided to go out for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday, so I made a reservation on line through OpenTable the day before. I added “birthday” under the special occasion section. Then I had to call the restaurant to confirm because the reservation populated 3 times on my calendar. Once on the Saturday and twice on the Sunday. We started off with the bang bang shrimp, which was delicious. My husband ordered the 9 oz sirloin steak to be cooked medium well, but didn’t look 9 oz. After eating a couple of bites he saw that the steak was pretty bloody and it was medium rare, so he sent it back, which he never does. When it came back he was still disappointed as it was pretty chewy. The meal I ordered was great. Afterwards I was told our bill was accidentally charged twice before I even saw the bill. On my way out, when I informed the manager of what happened to my husband’s, she did offer some coupons for our next visit, but I declined as I thought a discount would have been the proper way to rectify our issue. I was also disappointed when there was no small birthday dessert offered for his birthday.

We were a family of 5 for dinner. We had the calamari, sirloin, pistachio crusted salmon, main burger and chicken enchiladas. All were very good! Our server was attentive and the food came quickly. The only negative was the restaurant was very loud so it was hard to talk without yelling which was probably what everyone else was doing! This is ok for a family but I would not come here for a date.

Very good food, great waitstaff, comfortable. You could have a conversation easily without noise interference.

Brussels sprouts were amazing. Place is packed before a show at casino Rama . Pad Thai a bit on the spicy side but delicious

Food was awful, I had to send back the Thai noodle dish I ordered because it was inedible. I got the bison burger instead and it was just as bad ( fries were ok). Would never return but the server was nice.

We have a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday at State & Main in Orillia. I had salmon and my husband ordered the empire state steak. Both dishes were delicious and made to perfection. We also sheared the west coast salad, which was very fresh and yummy. Portion size was very generous. Some of us didn’t have room for dessert, so more for me 🙂 Strawberry champagne cheesecake was really good. Restaurant was packed and a bit noisy, so I was glad I made the reservation the night before. Service was great and we had a very pleasant time. We’ve been to this restaurant before and definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend this place for our family and friends.

The food was good and plentiful! The starters are huge and you could almost make a meal out of them. There are lots of choices on the menu.

I had the black cod, it was u cooked and slimy. The portion size of fish was enough for a toddler. It was mostly salad. The spice was not cooked in the rice as described on the menu but rather a painted streak on the plate of spice sauce. My wife’s salad had far too much onion in it overpowering the taste of the whole dish.
