The Bang Bang Shrimp never disappoints The spicy Thai salad and The Main burger also hit the spot And Taylor was exceptional… great service and attitude

Our waitress was not very attentive. We were waiting for her to come around and ask if we wanted more drinks. Also: if you have a candle on the table - why not light it.

Our first time visiting this location in Oakville. We happen to show up on 1/2 price wine bottle night (Thursdays) which was a pleasant surprise. Food was well prepared and tasty. Server was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

Really enjoy State and Main's food! I typically go to the Etobicoke location. This is my second time at the oakville location and honestly both times the service was not great. Our waitress was polite, but never checked in on us and if we needed anything, and it was NOT busy, nor did they appear understaffed. My friend wanted a refill on her drink and ketchup to have with her meal, unfortunately she had to finish most her meal without it, or it would have gone cold. She asked another waitress passing by for the refill and ketchup who said she would but must have forgot. Eventually we got it because I had to call out to our waitress, somewhat loudly, as she was walking by, and would have likely completely just passed us, if I did not do that. I really hate having to flag down my waitress like that. I'm fairly confident we would not have heard from her again until she was ready to bring the bill, which kind of sucks because again it wasn't busy and there were a lot of staff walking around. Other than that the food was spot on, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so at least there was that. In terms of recommending State and Main Oakville to a friend, I would let them know the food is good, but the service was not, and that can be make or break for people.

Valentines meal was good, I think having two salads would be better. Food was a little cold and there was ac or their fan on from above where we were sitting so I had to keep my winter jacket on
