Welcome to State & Main Guelph. We serve elevated comfort food and cocktails, providing a vibrant downtown atmosphere in your neighbourhood restaurant & bar. Our location in South Guelph is only a few minutes away from Highway 6. We're close to many hotels, so feel free to stop in for a meal if you need a rest from travelling! Our patio is dog-friendly if you have a furry friend. Our goal is to serve locals and travellers alike, providing delicious food and craft beer to anybody who craves it. The food was very good, steak cooked perfectly. The servers were very polite, helpful and attentive. Service was prompt and the ambiance made for a good evening

We had a very enjoyable dinner. I had the small sirloin which was cooked to my satisfaction. Great service.

We ordered drinks after being seated on time. After 25 mins we still did not even have drinks nor order. Our waitress seemed to forget about us. Another waiter approached us as he noticed us sitting there for so long. After getting drinks and ordering our food, we waiting another 50 mins before our food arrived. Our drinks were empty in 15 mins and no waiter came to ask if we wanted another until after our food arrived. We ran out of ketchup and no one checked in to ask for more until our food was cold. I didn’t complain to the waiter as I was celebrating my sons graduation and didn’t want to make the experience negative. They didn’t even comp our drinks (iced tea). The original waitress returned to our table and never apologized or even acknowledged that we were forgotten about. The waiter that helped out was kind. I would have expected something to be offered to us after it was an over 2 hour experience for food and iced tea.

State and Main has become my “go to” restaurant in Guelph. Our server was Kelly who was excellent. My niece Sadie was working the bar….she is a great addition to the staff at this location! Looking forward to my next visit!

The four of us tried different dishes and all were delicious and plentiful. The servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. I would definitely return.

Easy to reserve on Open Table we were greeted at the door and seated promptly. Our server arrived quickly and took our order, drinks and appetizer were on the table in no time and the Bang Bang Shrimp were delicious. Once our meals arrived our server seemed to lose interest and didn’t come back to check on us until we had finished. That said all 3 of us enjoyed our food and will definitely be back.

I ordered a burger —- and they were was stingy with the size. Smallest thing I ever had in a restaurant. The bun was not fresh — it was still thawing from the freezer. I asked for a new one. The replacement was probably from the same batch…not fresh.
