Welcome to State & Main Gloucester. We serve elevated comfort food and cocktails, providing a vibrant downtown atmosphere in your neighbourhood restaurant & bar. Our location is only a few minutes away from Highway 174. We're located in the northeastern suburbs of Ottawa, bringing downtown vibes to you. You can treat yourself to dinner with us and a movie at the nearby Scotiabank Theatre if you're craving a date night. You can run errands in the area around us or visit Hornets Nest Soccer Park before joining us for Happy Hour on our dog-friendly patio.                                                                                       I think the server should have checked on us about the food to ask how it was. My chicken was very overcooked. I wondered why she didn’t say something to the kitchen instead of serving it to me. It was very noisy at the restaurant. It was hard to carry on a conversation. I have gone there a number of times in the past. It’s usually much better.

                                                                                      We were a table of 6 sitting against the wall on a half moon type table. The food and service were amazing. However this was a lunch meet up with old friends. Because of the design of the table and the loudness of the restaurant we could not have a conversation from one end of the table to the other. However the rest was amazing and the restaurant was full.

                                                                                      State and Main is our go to restaurant in our area. The service is always good and food quality is good. This time, we felt food was over salted and the kids meal had too much pepper and salt on it, that my grandson had a hard time eating it. We all had steaks ( over salted) and didn't have steak knifes so had to get up to ask a server for knifes. We will still keep going back, but I guess the restaurant was crowded that service and food quality were not top notch

                                                                                      Lovely resto, we arrived at 6pm and the place was pretty full. We had a reso for 6 and were seated right away. There was a fairly long gap of service between being served our for drink and then being asked to order food (about 25-30 mins). Most of the food came out on time, but we did have to wait in one last steak (about 5-8 mins behind everyone’s food). Server was kind and friendly, but this may have been an accident on her forgetting to punch in a meal, or the kitchen making an error. Overall, I will go back again KD
