Welcome to State & Main Aurora. We serve elevated comfort food and cocktails, providing a vibrant downtown atmosphere in your neighbourhood restaurant & bar. Our location at the corner of Murray and Yonge St. is close to shopping malls and amenities, so you can run errands before joining us for a tasty meal. It was very dark in there, it was hard to read the menus and I saw a few people using their phone flashlights to look at the menu so I was definitely not the only one! Other than that, the food was great. Ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appy. I read reviews prior and this was a crowd favourite. Did not dissappoint! Came very quickly and was nice and hot, very crispy. I ordered the Fish and Chips. Fish was lightly battered and it was very crispy. Never got soggy after dipping into the tartar sauce. The hand cut fries were also very crispy. One of the best Fish and Chips Ive had! The Old Fashioned cocktail I ordered was very good too. Overall a very tasty experience!

First, we’ve been here a few times and enjoyed it. This time, chicken fingers were all coating and tasted like sawdust, beef dip was flavorless and bun terrible, fries were soggy. Shrimp rigatoni came so hot from microwaving it that the sauce broke, no truffle flavor whatsoever. Hoping that writing this review spurs on management to do better. With today’s pricing ask the food should be better.

My go to is the Pacific Rim Bowl and Bang Bang Shrimp. Always fantastic. Service is usually spot on but unfortunately not last night. Our server was also bartending so her focus wasn’t fully on us. Nonetheless, we will still continue to go back as the food is really good, and the service is usually very attentive.

I had great service and I enjoyed the chicken wings. They were actually on sale which was a bonus. Happy hour was good.

Food was very good and ingredients were so fresh! It was fairly quiet as we went on a Tuesday evening. Service was good as well. Would definitely go back to try the other items on the menu.

I had an amazing working lunch because my server Jordan was very attentive. The entire staff were great. I enjoyed the happy hour deal . I was able to take home the Chicken Thai salad for my husband.

It took 10 minutes to get our drink and starter ordered. At least the drink was good. The calamari was not, but it was warm and rubbery. We waited 55 minutes before our main course order was taken. We both ordered the signature Empire steak; the plates were cold, the steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus was lukewarm, steak was under cooked, asparagus needed a steak knife and no one came to check on the order for 40 minutes, by which time we had agreed we would not return again. Steak and Main used to be our favourite restaurant in Aurora, so it was really painful to see it fail so badly.

There was no-one at the front desk to greet us. We finally found our own table. The waitress, Emily, was excellent as was the food.
