Welcome to State & Main Kingsview Market. We serve elevated comfort food and cocktails, providing a vibrant downtown atmosphere in your neighbourhood restaurant & bar. We're located within walking distance of the King Heights neighbourhood and close to a plethora of shopping destinations. Run a few errands and then visit us for some standout shareables and craft beer! Our location is close to Genesis Place where you can meet all your fitness needs, or you can hit the ice at Twin Arena. If you're looking to switch up your date night, visit Century Downs Racetrack & Casino before visiting us for dinner. Decent enough overall experience, our waitress was excellent. Appetizers were decent, although the calamari was more deep fried vegetables than actual calamari (that’s a fail). Meals came out in a quick pace and the drinks were well-prepared. Overall food cost landed about 10% higher than warranted. The soundtrack in the location was a bit too loud for daytime and didn’t match the Mother’s Day crowd well. Would be better suited for Friday/Saturday dinner crowd. Overall, positive experience, would return, but will check out other venues first.

Colton, the bar manager was our server and he deserves 10 stars as he made our evening very enjoyable. He was knowledgable about the food and recommended the drinks we ordered and explained how they were made. He was very personable and friendly, chatting with us when he had the time. We ordered the Valentines special and everything was delicious, the bang bang shrimp was cooked to perfection and the cheesecake was Amazing! The curly-haired young bus boy was pleasant, polite and ensured we were not in need of anything. We have been to State + Main a handful of times and we will absolutely be going again.

Open table was quick and easy to use. State and Main was good. My fries seemed to be a little over cooked but they were still good i ate them

This was the second time we made an open table reservation and the restaurant didn't have it. With two children and had to sit in bar area which was crowded and extremely noisy. Some of food was okay, others such as chicken tenders and pretzels were overdone.

Well the reservation didn't work. They had no idea that we were showing up with 9 people and it went downhill from there. Food was OK, a little better than Fast Food but nothing great.

Really busy, didn't get our last minute reservations, food took over an hour to come out and we had kids with us so it was a bit frustrating. Food was good though, very loud!

Even though we made a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes. This was because we were not asked if there were children in our party or not - which there were - so then they had to move around the tables. Our waitress was very busy and only came by twice to see how things were - once after the drinks and for our order, and once for the bill.

Overall experience was ok, nothing extra ordinary. Ordered a burger without cheese, came with cheese and I complained. Burger goes back to the kitchen, after ten minutes I get my fries, another ten minutes later the burger (without cheese but now the fries were gone or cold...). No word of apology, as I said, pretty average (or under) dine-out.
