I visit Starpolska whenever I’m in Chicago. Absolutely wonderful Polish food- pierogi, potato pancake and borscht are must-haves.

Seven members of my family recently ate at Staropolska on a Sunday evening for my grandfather’s 86th birthday. We had a wonderful time! The food was delicious, our waitress was attentive and gave great suggestions, and we didn’t feel at all rushed about sitting and enjoying each other’s company. Definitely recommended.

The cheese and potato pierogi were incredible. The whole meal felt like it was homemade at grandma's. Absolutely recommend and I plan to return the next time I'm in the area.

We have been here before, it’s always a delicious experience. We did the family style dinner, it was plenty of food and served quickly. Will return.

It was my first time visiting a Polish restaurant. The overall experience was amazing. It’s small but lovely. The waitress was very good at guiding us as to what she thought we might like. The food was very good. It’s very filling. We definitely could have split our entree. This place is definitely a winner 🥰

I cannot put into words how poor my dining experience here was. We came in on a cold winter evening in December and the heat was barely on. I'm not kidding, everyone was dining in their coats. Two servers were in charge of the whole restaurant, and to say they were in over their heads is an understatement. No one was designated as a bartender. The food came out incredibly cold. A lot of the tables were occupied when we got there and everyone just seemed to be waiting around for something to happen. We had to ask for menus, which took 15 minutes. Every request we made took 15 minutes. We ordered very simple items off the menu, which were given to us cold, including the soup. My boyfriend and I ended up being there for over two hours because of how long the entire dining process took. This restaurant is clearly mismanaged and needs to support their staff better. And turn on the heat! It's Chicago in the winter!

There are better Polish restaurants in Chicago. Food was average. Our waitress was not very good. No water refills. No smile. We noticed other waitresses were much better. Our bad luck I guess.
