Stark's Steakhouse in Santa Rosa, California, is an upscale eatery that takes a modern approach to sustainable seafood and steak. The in-house dry aged meat is served a la carte and guests can also enjoy an extensive menu of international and local wine, creative cocktails and more than 60 whiskeys.

Try the Stark's Steakhouse special roasted bone marrow starter served with truffle honey and sea salt before enjoying a steak with toppers like truffle fried egg, mushroom and onions or blue cheese butter. Food was excellent, but the service this time was not. We had to wait almost 30 minutes to get bread and water. Our waiter would also get lost and we wouldn't see him for what felt like 30 minutes.

Everything was great, but my friends order was not so great. He ordered the Wagyu cut and it was incredibly tough. The manager did come over and they deducted it from the check and gave us a couple of complementary drinks and dessert. I felt bad, however, because he did not really get a dinner. He had a few bites of mine. I had the surf and turf, and it was pretty good! I will definitely go back though because I did love the ambience and the chocolate lava cake dessert was to die for!

Excellent service! Dinner was divine. We both had Filet of Mignon and baked potatoes which were cooked to perfection. The ambiance was so nice that it almost felt as though we were alone. Expensive? Yes! But oh so worth it.

Another great birthday dinner for our family! Thank you. Starks, for making it so…… perfectly prepared ribeye, filets, and sides of Califlower and baked spud. The blue cheese butter on my steak added that extra flavor that made it over the top! We keep coming back!!

Oysters and appetizers of shrimp cocktail and wedge salad were good. However our main dishes of butterfish and scallops were so sweet we couldn't finish them and were anxious to get home to brush our teeth and gargle. Considering the bill was about $375 with tip we are not really wanting to return.

Everything was great. We had a show to get to and the team was very accommodating. Really appreciate the attention. Our server gave a simple but thorough explanation of the menu and we enjoyed our meals.

Stark's has long been our go-to restaurant for premium steaks, comfort, and service. Sadly, our last two meals here have fallen well short of their previous standards. The service was very slow. Meals were delivered to the wrong guests. Our server never refilled our wine glasses. The rooms have opened up over the years and are now quite noisy. But, it is the food that disappoints mostly. Our $61.00 filets (meat ONLY) were laced with fatty gristle. The Bearnaise sauce was thin and lightly flavored. All side dishes are extra. The Brussel sprouts with bacon and onions was very good. Mashed potatoes were nothing special. Grilled mushrooms were good, not great. Garlic bread consisted of a doughy 6 piece pull-apart roll resting in and slathered with garlic infused butter. Our hands became an oily mess every time we tried to eat one. All-in-all Stark's would be acceptable if it were not touted as a premium steak house. At those astronomical prices there should be no shortcomings. Stark's no longer delivers.

Had dinner with two other friends to celebrate on of their birthdays. The food, atmosphere, SERVICE, attentiveness of the entire staff made the evening out simply outstanding. Starks is a go to experience for special events or to entertain guest in town
