The hotel did not have any atmosphere. The bistro had an offputting stale smell, and the meal was mediocre. The only good thing was that the staff were lovely - friendly and helpful.

Food was generous and really nice. We had Parmigiana and Calamari meals. Had some nice wine too. Girls need to up knowledge of what is wine / reds whites etc, and what beers they have but otherwise lovely team.

The same pub fair, trying hard but not quite there with quality. My Schnitzel was tough and the gravy was like water, no flavour. The chips were cold, we didn’t wait long so I am thinking that a lot of items are pre cooked and just reheated. We didn’t say anything at the venue as it was busy with families and where we were sitting was where everyone lined up to order so our table was blocked in. It is a shame because our other visits here have been good.

It was really busy throughout the Easter period when you visited but that is to be expected, so the lineup would have been longer at times we will use the feedback you have provided to try and improve the experience for the future. Meal was delicious as always. Seemed quiet for a Friday night with no live music in the bar.

There was only music on the Saturday night that weekend, as you caught us just before the upcoming PF Folk Festival weekend; during which we had a 4 day music extravaganza. Good value, big meals. Fishermen’s plate more than enough to share, as was the tomahawk steak.

Poor service again. Lady that's working there treats people horribly. Probably won't go back now that the star is open again

My husband ordered the schnitzel which he said was quite dry and over salted. I had calamari which was very nice and tender. Good selection of drinks. Staff were friendly and meals came quickly ( we were in at 6.30)

Everything good except drink prices a bit steep. $55 for a bottle of bubbles that is $18 in uncle Dans.
