Christmas is so much more than just the big day itself and we'll keep the festivities going all the way through December into the bright lights of 2025! 1st time visiting the Star in Liverton yesterday Friday 13th December. Arrived around 7:05pm, was advised the table we booked was upstairs , and that the waitress would be up to take a drinks order. Waited some 20nmins plus for the waitress to come and take the drinks order, she was friendly . The food took around 25 mins , which was fine however the gammon steak I had was unfortunately one of the worse I've had for a long time. Very thick but lots of fat and gristle. We won't be visiting the Star again to eat, only real positive thing I can say was that the two meals myself and my wifevhad and the large wine and bitter shandy was very cheap at just over £37.

We had an amazing festive roast dinner today. Cooked perfectly and so tasty. Service was great, very attentive and the ambience was very relaxed and friendly.

You can’t beat a Sunday roast from the star inn but on this occasion it was a Saturday outing for 9 people for a 60th birthday. They didn’t disappoint, always tasty food and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommended a visit if you’ve not been before

The Landlady and Landlord always go above and beyond helpful . We always enjoy our visit and we have been a few times now and will definitely be back again. I also like the fact they help community , run charity events , live music, Quiz nights. Wish this was my local pub 😊

A Busy Monday evening, good value food ( 2 course menu @ £13.99 ( steak +£2). Service was good, the food was tasty &well presented. Will be visiting again.
