Had high expectations, I guess was too high for the food . It was ok , price was high. Spring roll with soft shell crab , no favored , waygu steak over priced . Curry Vege was the best .

Everything’s great - from food to service to ambience! Our fave is the soft shell crab curry. Will definitely come back and try other dishes as well. We celebrated our anniversary and our server made it very special. Thank you so much!

Pleasant space, great service, great presentation of food. However, for us the most important factor when eating out is the taste of food. It was not good. We've enjoyed many Thai restaurants before and the taste at Star Leaf was off to us. Other people seem to enjoy the food and had issues with the service according to the reviews, but this was not the case for us.

Beautiful from outside to inside. Our waitress gave us the best suggestion. Must order: Bakka wild salmon to start. Sooooo good. You will not disappoint. Royal crown fried rice, a dish you can’t get anywhere else. Thai Royal curry, not your typical curry. Ivan Baker was a surprise. I normally do not like pomfret fish, but they made this fish moist. Amazing!! We will definitely go back.

I REALLY wanted to love Star Leaf. The restaurant is right next to the Pasadena Playhouse, where we are subscribers and frequent attendees. We hoped to make the restaurant our pre-theater dinner spot for years to come. The space - used to be Roy's Fusion - is handsome, especially the outside patio. We were seated - curiously - in a mini-booth away from the main dining area and opposite the bar. Our waitress was delightful and helpful and all the staff was pleasant and kept cleaning off our table as we finished each dish - sometimes before. Unfortunately the food - and we had two appetizers and two main courses (which was way too much - our fault) - was just not that great. It might be a matter of personal taste but the Malayan curry was a little heavy and after a few bites, I was done. Before that the egg roll flutes filled with shrimp were just OK. By the end we had spent $250+ (admittedly with 4 drinks between us) and came away with that "meh" feeling. Would we go again ? Maybe - to sit on the patio and people watch on Colorado and give the food a second chance. Unfortunately, though, this was not love at first bite.

A great place to go eat before seeing a show at Pasadena playhouse. Chicken curry was excellent

The sea bass was excellent. The 24-hours short ribs are good and tender; however, I wish I was offered different sauces as I don't like the coconut taste in my beef.
