The magnificent Stamford Park Homestead was built in 1882 by the entrepreneurial Row family as a Gentleman’s Residence. After many years of neglect, the homestead and six acres of grounds have been aesthetically restored, allowing it to once again become the ‘Jewel in Knox City’.

Stamford Parks current custodians, have waved their ‘whimsical’ magic of both design and true hospitality over the beautiful estate and it is now a stunning property serving the public for what it was originally intended – a place to gather, meet, entertain and unwind.

I think they're onto something good here. The dining rooms are spaced out to create a quieter ambience for all diners. I cannot wait to see it in the warmer months as the outside area looks primed to be enjoyed. Our waitress was attentive to all our needs and understanding of our quirkiness. The kitchen looked after my food allergies superbly. A little pricey but all round an excellent venue. One hint ... the carpark is just after you turn into the feeder road. We missed it but had a lovely walk back !!

Nice homestead with country side feeling. Friendly and professionl wait staff, extensive menu and good wine list.

Food is average for the high price they charge. When booking, we mentioned that we are using the best gift card voucher. They told us that they accepted it. However, they refused to honour the gift card when we want to settle the bill. Their reason is the they have not arranged the claim process with best gift card. This is not acceptable. They should have told us during the booking, not when we settle the bill.

When we arrived it took them ages to find our booking due to their computer system not loading. We were left hovering in the doorway whilst this happened. Incorrect drinks were brought to table. Not the type we had ordered. Chicken Parma was cold. They “forgot” to bring the hot chips for the kids and when we asked they brought them out when we had pretty much finished our meals. The chips were burnt and inedible. Disappointing as we were looking forward to going here and it is a beautiful venue but let down by less than mediocre food and service.
