The magnificent Stamford Park Homestead was built in 1882 by the entrepreneurial Row family as a Gentleman’s Residence. After many years of neglect, the homestead and six acres of grounds have been aesthetically restored, allowing it to once again become the ‘Jewel in Knox City’.

Stamford Parks current custodians, have waved their ‘whimsical’ magic of both design and true hospitality over the beautiful estate and it is now a stunning property serving the public for what it was originally intended – a place to gather, meet, entertain and unwind.

It was a wonderful experience. Everything was lovely. I particularly liked the voice of background music. A beautiful atmosphere.

This is the second time dining at the Homestead, and unfortunately neither was a good experience. Being a vegetarian, the choices are limited and on both occasions my meal was was on the small side and tastless. Very disappointing! At my first dining experience, our waitress was extremely forgetful and not knowledgeable about the food or drinks available, and we had three incorrect items served and one of our main meals just forgotten. Although they didn't charge for the latter oversight. Today, we were greeted with a 'Yes?' Then the lady showing us to our walked so fast we were left behind. There was never any eye contact & little verbal communication, she just waved her arm at our table, muttered what we couldn't ordered. We needed to remind them to place our drink order and were not asked again if we'd like another, interesting as it was 36°. Only one wait staff was pleasant, all the others looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. The dessert, being lemon tart, was also disappointing my friend & joked about trying to find the lemon filling. These came as three tiny tarts, again with little taste. Overall, to state again 'disappointing ' would be an understatement. It's a shame, because we don't have too many restaurants in the Knox area with such a beautiful environment. I won't be back in a hurry.

We had a lovely lunch celebrating my sister’s 50th birthday. Gorgeous weather and an attentive waiter made for a very relaxing 4 hour lunch…. Food was plentiful (in fact too much) and nice coffee served under the huge trees overlooking the expansive lawns. A lovely serene place to sit quietly and nice and local

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit on 22nd December. We had excellent service form the staff all very pleasant and friendly. The food was excellent, and we look forward to our net visit. Daniel Thambiratnam

We decided to try out the Stamford Park Homestead for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly front of house staff member who showed us promptly to our table. The ambience of the room was nice with some interesting details in the room, some of which did not fit the style of the homestead. Our drinks were ordered and received rather quickly which we were rather impressed by. Our entree was nice but nothing to write home about. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza which was nice. My partner ordered the chicken parmigiana which was dry and chewy and not pleasant to eat. Lastly we had an apple tartar tan which initially looked okay but at first taste was of nothing but caramel. The apple portion was covered in caramel sauce and the pastry was not how it should be. We decided to leave and I personally spoke to the same front of house staff who was apologetic. This person thanked us for the feedback as they (front of house staff) don’t get to taste the food they are serving. This staff member said that he would get the manager to come out so we could discuss our feedback and then the FOH staff came out a minute later without the manager and said that they would compensate us by not charging us for the parmigiana and the dessert. As we were appreciative of the discount, we expect that the manager would talk to us about the feedback. Very disappointed by this lack of caring for the establishment that they manage. Won’t be going back.

Steak was delicious however slightly over the medium rare. 3 of us ordered the same meal and all the steaks were more medium rather than medium rare. Staff very friendly & lovely venue.

Food was good and beyond our expectation despite the crowd. Place was overcrowded with too much noise. Overall was a good experience esp during Christmas.

Lovely food, service was impeccable, beautiful surroundings and all very fairly priced i thought. This was my first time there despite being a local, I'll be back.

Pizza was fantastic as usual, but our Chicken Parma's seemed a little off in taste and texture, plus the chips were soaked in fat and overcooked - really bad and we left most of it. Plates and cutlery skidded all over the place on the table (outdoors) and the tables wobbled a lot, so wasn't a great dining experience overall.
