My husband and I went for dinner recently to celebrate our anniversary. We chose Stages because it is very close to the Mirvish CAA theatre. It was a cold evening and we got a table right near the fireplace. The restaurant is small and the ambience was lovely. No blaring music! The gentleman who served us was very attentive, so we had great service. We shared a trio of dips served with pita and all 3 dips were delicious. My husband had the crispy tofu with spicy noodles and it was excellent (quite spicy so only recommend if you love hot spicy food). I had the chicken cutlet with fresh cut fries. It was very good. The cutlet was a bit dry, so not greasy, and it's something I can cook myself at home, so I wish I had chosen something else. I did enjoy my meal though and after the dips I wasn't super hungry. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely return.

Potato roesti was overcooked. The chicken schnitzel was also overcooked to the extent that a knife would not cut it so my wife tore it into pieces and ate the more edible potions. The waiter comped the appetizer. He also stated that there had been similar complaints about these 2 menu items.

It was an active pre-theatre dinner crowd and only one waiter who had to travel some distance to get the food that was not hot when arrived

Great dinner, a bit crazy to start i think they were understaffed. Table wasn’t ready and there was only one person who could serve drinks. Food was quite good though and appreciated the Canadian wines.

Spent a couple of nights at Pantages in Toronto, Ontario and ate at Stages our first night there. Service was excellent. It’s a beautiful place and the atmosphere was excellent. Dress attire is casual or dressy. Very clean and the food was good.

Great value for the money. Sat in the library and was very private and quite. Food and service both excellent.

Terrible experience. Do not eat here. They were out of four items on the menu, my sister, who is gluten-free, ended up just having fries. Our steaks were over cooked. One person in our party did not get their meal until every one had finished, at least 20 minutes after the rest of us. They forgot one of our drink orders. They apologized and comped 50% of our meal but it took an hour and 45 min for us to eat and we only ordered drinks and entrees.

Excellent service. The food was very good but the steak was tough. Nice and quiet.

We were early but they kindly let us sit until they were open. Service was very good and friendly. Menu was clear and interesting. We all had the Chicken Schnitzel which was really good but the spaetzle noodles were not anything like what you have in Europe. Nice quiet place at 4pm. don't think it stays that way as the evening will start around 7-8pm.
