An absolutely brilliant local gastropub. Food is really well cooked and smart but unassuming atmosphere. Lovely staff.

Never fails to impress. Great local gastro pub with fab restaurant area and lovely pub section. Offering a great selection of dishes, the only problem ever is what to choose as so much of it appeals. Staff are always attentive and friendly

The food was delicious and substantial (lovely starters followed by proper Sunday roast), the service with just the right amount of attentiveness and sympathetic. We should go more often. A real treat.

Steak sharing dish more for 2 than 3 people. Nice food. Staff very attentive. Very happy to return.

First time here. I've wanted to visit for years. I was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious food, and a memorable evening.

It is too laborious to log on to this site. The food and service and everything about the meal was great apart from the fact that the steak was really under-cooked. They offered to take it away and cook it more so that made it ok.

Wonderful local pub that we have been to many times over the years, that has a dining area and behaves like a restaurant.However dogs are allowed into the dining space and on the occasion we were eating, a small dog was allowed to yap piercingly throughout.A second dog entered from another room and they began growling and barking at each other before the second dog was ejected.The accoustics of the room meant it echoed in an unpleasant and intrusive way. We like dogs and are glad they are allowed into the bar area, (where you can also eat) but to let them into an area specifically for eating this is questionable. It would certainly not be allowed into a restaurant that was not also a pub. Food and service fabulous as usual.

As well as a lot of our regulars and locals we do love dogs and welcome them in both areas, however this sometimes may be discomforting for some guests. Fabulous Food. Attentive Service & helpful with seating to make it a special evening for my guests & the special guest. The food was delicious & we really were grateful to our lovely Maître'D Daniel for his adding to the ambience. All of us would be happy to come again for a special get together.

Always love this place. Food never disappoints and the service is terrific, with lots of personality. Especially rate the starters as sharers and the mains which are phenomenal. The deserts while good, aren’t quite at the same level.
