    Always a fantastic experience. Food is delicious and also unlike what you’ll find anywhere else. Perfect friendly, helpful, service. Relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Always a 10 out of 10.

    Great to have St John’s in our Marylebone Village neighbourhood it’s a perfect fit to the area. Always a good atmosphere and I’m very happy to be able to get my loaf of sourdough brown to take home. I’m not a neat eater but always find delicious vegetarian options like the cauliflower and chickpea simple but simply great dressing

    Simply the best! The menu changes every day with exquisite dishes with the best ingredients. The staff is extremely knowledgable and pleasant. We love sitting at the counter or the tables on the ground floor or outside. A must visit if in London for a short visit or a place to come back to often if living here!

    Under the guise of sustainability, this is a “snout to tail” operation. Let me just say up front, I am all in for sustainability and avoiding food waste and I also want to say that I failed to do my homework when I made the booking. So I’m just saying, it wasn’t for me- maybe others love it, but for me it’s a big no thank you. Once realizing the concept, we went all in for adventure’s sake and ordered the special, which was deep fried snout and tail. Again, it’s just not for me. I guess my question to the proprietors is - what happened to the rest of the animal, like, all the cuts a restaurant would typically serve? Were those cuts served in your other restaurants? I mean, if you want to offer this *also* or use these cuts in a creative way that uses the products in a more palatable way, that’s one thing, but just taking a cut that is very difficult to coax into an appetizing product and dropping it in the deep fryer and calling it a dish? It’s just not worth the hype for me. Also, I fail to see why the sole can’t be appropriately treated in the kitchen before being served- it’s too small a fish for me to be sitting at the table having to inspect my food and pulling it off the bones to get a get a little morsel of fish. I felt like there was a camera somewhere and someone was watching to see what we were willing to eat and how much we were willing to spend on it. They had a very nice wine on the specials board and my husband, being familiar with the wine, was tempted to order a glass. Mercifully, the board disclosed that a 125ml serving was £33. For the Americans reading - that’s about 4 ounces for $42. A wine that pricey should be sold by the bottle, I feel - if you can only offer 4oz, choose something that’s a better value. Maybe others feel differently, but I felt like the proprietors finally cracked the code of the notoriously narrow profit margins - serve worthless waste products greenwashed as sustainable and upcharged. The beet salad was great though.

    We had a beautiful dinner on a Monday night at St John Marleybone. The staff always make such a huge different to the total experience and Oscar, our server, was absolutely brilliant. He made excellent recommendations and helped steer us in the right direction. The food was also delicious, and well timed ensuring we did not feel rushed. The 'optional' not actually optional surcharge was added to our final bill. We had a wonderful time and were planning on leaving a tip however the 'optional' 12.5% surcharge was added which just leaves a bad taste after a lovely evening. Regardless would still recommend a visit.

    Great food - fun vibe - unfortunately our waiter forgot about us about halfway through and seemed to be mad at us when we told him he forgot a dish in our order. Would try again and hope for better service.

    I LOVE St John. This was my first trip to Marylebone. Did not disappoint, other than the lack of Roast Marrow. The Hake was outstanding. The Lamb, to die for. Thank you St. John!
