    The Spring Mill Café is perfect for your next party. We offer two distinct venues. The main building can host groups of up to forty, and the rustic farmhouse is ideal for groups up to twenty-five. Both venues feature the country French cooking that has delighted guests for over three decades.

    Our party of 5 went here to celebrate a birhday. We were expecting an authentic and cosy evening with delicious French food. The lady/hostess was quite unfriendly, the small table she pointed to was quite small for 5 people and we had difficulty placing our bottles of wine on the table. The bread basket did not include French bread but small rolls which tasted commercially made. The salad appetizers were very good. The entrees were lacking in seasoning and sauce especially the lamb shank and rabbit. They were tender but bland. The filet and salmon a la nicoise were both very good. We ordered several desserts, the almond cake was really dry and honestly not worth the bother. The tarte tatin was cold and the pastry soggy. Bassett's ice cream was the winner here. Very expensive and disappointing meal. It was a bummer, we had high expectations and excitement for a fine meal and celebration.

    Birthday celebration dinner - stellar! We shared a pâté while choosing the meal to come. The salad special (octopus) was wonderful, as was my heirloom tomato salad with feta. My wife's fish special (baramundi over quinoa) was excellent, and I love the top quality grass fed filet that's a menu staple at SMC. Along with our main courses, we shared a very tasty plate of roasted carrots (the vegetable special du jour). With the same great staff, setting, service, and presentation that made SMC our favorite restaurant for over 40 years, who could ask for anything more?

    We went to Spring Mill for our anniversary dinner and was surprised that they had a Restaurant Week, 3 course prix fixe menu special going on. Which, of course, we took advantage of. They sat us in a quiet alcove in the main dining room and promptly opened the bottle of wine we had brought (BYOB). For starters, my wife had the cheese and dried fruit plate, and I, the smoked salmon with dill and cucumber salad appetizer. For the main courses, I had the Beef filet steak Provencale and my wife, the grilled octopus ala Nicoise. The steak was cook perfectly, medium rare, and surprisingly, the octopus was so tender and not at all chewy. The accompanying sauces were both excellent. Finally, for dessert, we had ice cream with chocolate sauce, toasted almonds, whipped cream and a macaron. My wife had the salmon and pistachio genoise with creme fraiche, garnished with pistachios and powdered sugar. Overall, an excellent experience, service was great (thanks Mike), and the food very, very good. Will definitely go back again.

    Wonderful atmosphere! My husband and I enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. The food for restaurant week was delicious! Juicy beef, yummy dessert, and fresh air!

    We went there for restaurant week and had an amazing experience. Just remember they are BYOB (which is a plus in my opinion). The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Even though this was just a date night out for us, we were made to feel as if both the occasion and our visit were special. Thanks so much, we'll be back for sure!

    Spring Mill Inn never disappoints. The ambiance , the service are top notch. The food is excellent . I had the miso glazed eggplant steak with black rice and seaweed salad, it was so delicious I wanted more!. My partner had the octopus which isn't for everyone and it was his first time trying it . As a picky eater I was so suprised that he gave it high marks.. All in all it is one of my favorite restaurants. Oh and the best coffee!

    Phenomenal experience and food. We enjoyed escargot, salad, pork chops and insanely good. Rabbit is not something I would normally eat, but now I can’t wait to go back to eat more.

    Parking limited without on-street alternatives. Noise level high at 7:30 pm. Got better when diners began to leave. Prix fixe menu a bargain at $50. Food excellent.
