We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Spotted Duck. The food was excellent, the ambiance was pleasant and the wait staff were attentive. I had the duck risotto and husband had the lamb gnocchi. I thought the menu could be expanded a tiny bit. Granted, the menu is available online so you know your options ahead of time. I would recommend it highly.

Spotted Duck is a great place in Pacific Grove. We just did a variety of their appetizers and it was phenomenal. The grilled octopus was very tender and had great flavor. The duck fries were great, recommend requesting them extra crispy next time because of our personal preference. The meatballs were good but a little gamey for us. Recommend trying a local bottle of wine as there is a great selection. We really enjoyed the toasted bread from Ad Astra to dip in some of the sauces the appetizers came in. Overall great place and not noisy or crowded. We are local and will definitely return.

I think one more server would help the timing and pacing of things. Excellent fresh dishes.

We dine at the Spotted Duck every July when visiting Pacific Grove. The food is exceptional and menu inviting. Service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend you visit this little gem. Your tastebuds will thank you!

This small place delivered great food and service. We very much enjoyed the corn chowder with shrimp to start as well as the salad with burrata, grilled nectarines and arugula. For our main courses we had the duck and lamb ragout with gnocchi, both were delicious. We look forward to coming back.
