Course 2: Duck confit crespelle with caramelized onions and fonduta. or Alaskan spot prawns with piadina chervil and calabrian aioli Course 3: Semolina gnocco with boar ragu Course 4:Tajarin with weathervane scallops or Cavatelli with guanciale, spinach and garlic Course 5: Sturgeon with salsa verde, brussels sprouts and kumquats or Braised full blood Washington Wagyu with roasted potatoes Course 6: Vanilla bean-rosewater panna cotta with Prosecco gelee and Viennese whirl or Milk chocolate gelato with hazelnut mousse and chocolate crunch.     There is a reason that reservations for the popular nights can be weeks/months out...Spinasse sets the bar for what ultimate quality is. Every time we have dined here over the last decade it is a gracious and well executed service experience with food that is sublime on the taste buds.

    Regular to Spinasse and on a Tuesday night at 5:00 asked for the corner bar seats right at 5:00 to celebrate an anniversary we arrived at 5:03 to an empty restaurant except the corner bar seats being occupied — it was strange unless that couple also asked for those seats to celebrate an event that in an entirely empty restaurant our request wasn’t considered. The host seemed not to have read our reservation notes which is not usual to the level of service we normally receive — other than that curious misstep the food was fantastic and bartender wonderful.

    Everything we had was outstanding. The new cabbage salad was unusual but refreshing. The pasta and risotto were better than I have had in great places in Italy. The server was knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly loved working there. And the desserts were delicious. Finally I will say they now make their own bread and it was excellent.

    I had high expectations for my New Year’s Eve dinner at Spinasse, given its reputation and the special tasting menu offered for the evening. The food was undeniably delicious—each dish was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented, showcasing the finesse of authentic Northern Italian cuisine. However, despite the culinary excellence, I couldn’t help but feel that the $146 per person tasting menu fell short of its value. While the flavors were memorable, the portion sizes and overall experience didn’t quite justify the price tag. For that cost, I was expecting a more elevated or unique experience to match the occasion—perhaps additional courses, more extravagant ingredients, or an enhanced ambiance tailored to New Year’s Eve festivities. In summary, Spinasse delivered on taste and quality, but the tasting menu didn’t provide the “wow” factor I hoped for at such a premium price point. A wonderful meal, but I’d hesitate to return for another special event at this cost.

    We spent a wonderful New Years Eve at spinasse. The choices for our menu were diverse and delicious! We had the wine pairing, with each carefully chosen. The service team explained each dish and wine as they delivered each course. Thanks for an incredible experience!

    When we arrived there were 2 people in our party still waiting to arrive, the host told us we couldn’t be seated, so go to the bar. We sat down at the bar and then she came over and told us the seats at the bar were reserved and we needed to stand, but there was no where to stand but by the bathrooms. Not a very warm birthday welcome. Then we were sat by the window near the host stand, it was cold and not comfortable. Our server was professional and gracious.. But we are tired of 20 something hosts in Seattle that don’t seem to comprehend what gracious and professional service is.

    Really enjoyed the food and ambience at Spinasse. There were good options on the menu for a vegetarian family. Our waiter, Heather was awesome and very knowledgeable about vegetarian choices and helped make the right choices. A little bit disappointed that 2 desserts on the menu contain pork gelatin, but there were 3 other desserts to choose from. Again, Heather was awesome in steering us in the right direction. Overall a great experience for a special family dinner!
