Fire place I wish they had a cheese wheel but that’s personal preference and it’s not a typical Italian restaurant Super good place nonetheless 5/5

We did have high hopes prior to arriving based on the reviews we read. 3 of us arrived first while the 4th person was parking the car. The host led us to a corner of the room, told us to stand there (in front of other diners) until all members have arrived. That was extremely pretentious and unnecessary. I asked the host, are you planning on giving away our table if the 4th person does not arrive at all? He had no reply to that question. There is only the need to “punish” a party not arriving together if there is a need for a table turnover. If you are in the restaurant business, you do that. Otherwise, if you are in the business of making money, offer patrons a chance to get an alcoholic drink when they are waiting. There’s no such a setup here. Hence I mean they are being pretentious. After we all sat down, we ordered 3 cocktails. Followed by a bottle of wine. The drinks were quite good, so is the wine. The food is ok. For the 4 of us, we ordered 2 appetizers, 2 pasta dishes, 1 main dish and a side veggie. The prosciutto with fresh figs was the best! The rest was ok. Had to send back the super salty broccoli. They were nice about it and made a new plate for us. But what really bothered us was the lack of personality or humor in the staff in general. Our table tried to engage the waiter from the beginning by small talks and cracking a little jokes, we addressed him by his name, and just never received any warm response. No smiles from anyone who works there. That is a huge opportunity lost to make an ok meal feel much more inviting.

I was excited to dine at Spinasse for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. Several dishes were overly salted, including the gnocchi, and the kale side was so oily it was inedible. The duck confit in filo dough also arrived heavy with oil, which detracted from the flavors. While the wine selection was lovely, and the desserts were a bit more enjoyable, they still didn’t meet the standard I expected from a restaurant with such a reputation and price point. Additionally, I’d requested a small birthday gesture for my husband—just a candle with dessert—but this was overlooked. Though we made the best of it and sang ourselves, it felt like a missed opportunity to make the evening special. Overall, I left feeling disappointed.

Spinasse was as outstanding as I anticipated. The service was excellent, and the crab risotto was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. A must!

As a Seattle native, I dont know why it took me 30+yrs to visit this gem. The atmosphere and service are truly great. The food, oh golly, its incredible. The tasting menu is the best kept secret in town; You get every item listed on the menu start to finish. 11 out of 10.

Truly Amazing Experience. Recommend everyone try at least once and just do the menu tour. It's a little more pricey but EXTREMELY worth it!

I had a great first experience at Spinasse. Very friendly, attentive & accommodating staff. Delicious appetizers, entrees and dessert. I will definitely be back.

I've been coming to Spinasse for the past few years, all for special events. It's never disappointed. The food is exceptional and the service is impeccable. Will continue to make this a destination for a great meal.

The duck confit filled filo dough, the butter sage pasta and the ragu pasta, and the pan roasted rib eye. Panna cotta for dessert. It was perfection. Loved the whole experience!
