After booking a table for a special occasion received a call from the restaurant the next day advising they were shut for the foreseeable future and offered a table at their Walton on Thames restaurant or an another date. Why take a booking for a restaurant that is shut which messed up plans for that evening and a meal at another restaurant that had to be booked in a rush. Have previously had a meal at this restaurant and thought it was a nice place hence the return visit but not impressed!!!!

We sincerely apologise for having to cancel your reservation. Unfortunately the restaurant was forced to close due to a fire deeming the building unsafe. We have been doing our upmost best to accommodate all booked reservations at our restaurant to our Sister restaurant in Walton On The Hill. As i'm sure you can appreciate, this matter was beyond our control.

Our first visit! And definitely not our last. Whole experience was most enjoyable, there are so many things that I still want to try on the menu. Staff were very helpful and made a fuss of our daughter who was celebrating a special birthday would definitely recommend.

Easy to book a table, staff greeted on entry and showed us to a table. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with lights in & out side of the garden.

Pizza crust was too hard to cut, waited a long time for main course, and one of the main course meals took a long time after every body else’s to arrive.

Boomed a garden pod for my work leaving do, on arrival was told it wasn't a pod as that is £500 minimum spend.. when I booked garden pod with a la carte menu was what I chose and what my confirmation said.. anyway! We were seated in the main garden at a bench style table which was a shame as I had told colleagues it was a pod!. The service wasn't great.. we had to call for more drinks no one checked on us... we also didn't get offerred pudding menus so left without! We were over charged which when queried one of the card payments in the group had been 'forgotten'. We also were looking forward to the live singer.. this was advertised at 9pm and we booked later to see this.. it was indoors and we couldn't see or hear it which wasn't made clear! Overall a massive let down especially as I had planned this for my colleagues and myself!!

Hi Natalie, we are saddened to see that you did not enjoy your experience with us at. When booking online, it gives you the option to book in our garden, private pods or indoor seating. The pods require the minimum spend upfront which is detailed online. As you selected "standard seating" this had reserved your booking on a standard table. It is also detailed that our live music is indoor only. On arrival, we did offer you the pod but this was refused as you did not want to spend the minimum

Seated in garden at lunchtime, beautiful surroundings, amazing food, attentive staff. Would definitely return & recommend

We went there as a party of 4 to celebrate my daughters 40th birthday. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and were pleasantly surprised to find the place virtually empty at 1.30pm on a Sunday lunchtime as we expected it to be rammed! Strangely it began to fill up from 2.30 pm and by the time we left, it was quite full. We were serenaded by a singer who specialised in Frank Sinatra songs. The service was friendly and the food excellent. Given that this is a local restaurant it is not cheap, but we would certainly go again as we had a most enjoyable time.

The service was poor we also found the food not so good. We have been waiting a while to visit this place and we’re quite disappointed all round. I don’t know if this was because it was a Monday evening.

They were very helpful we turned up with 6 instead of 5 but quickly made room for us great service kids food great
