Southern Kitchen, which is known as "The Mouth of the South" to the locals, serves up comfort food favorites. From collard greens to fried fish and chicken, the eatery provides a comfortable, relaxed spot for enjoying classic Southern food, beer, and wine for lunch, and dinner. Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has focused on providing good food paired with a classy experience and great customer service. Southern Kitchen features a variety of options for starting the meal, including fried oysters, fried okra, southern rolls, and salad. Enjoy sandwiches like the salmon cake and chicken club, or dive into some apple pecan salad, fried fish, big momma's chicken, and chicken livers and onions. Southern Kitchen also features plenty of filling plates, including the seafood platter, meatloaf, catfish, and southern-fried pork chops.

I love Shane she is my sister in Christ. The food was delicious the outside fire pit was romantic and the crowd was upscale. Yes I made reservations already for December. The parking was easy and the lighting was enough . Lady Pat

Southern Kitchen has put down new roots in Stony Point Fashion Park. Now, there are no parking concerns. The old Brio has been transformed into a beautiful and bright restaurant with southern charm and warm hospitality. We had a the turkey wings and the catfish and shrimp with macaroni and cheese,cabbage and collards. The service and the food was amazing. This was our third visit. All of the small kinks that may have caused a longer wait time have been worked out. We will be back soon.

Expensive!!! Wine was $16/glass. Oyster appetizer overly breaded- $25! Chicken on the menu misleading as it stated white and/or dark meat….it actually was one or the other. One of the entrees was wrong and it took forever to bring correct order. Bar service took forever. Out of succotash. Cabbage just not seasoned and bland. Music was too loud. Positives: fried chicken was delicious (but pricey at $28). Décor beautiful!

Very nice and clean and everyone was so professional and neat in their uniform and atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming and everything was great, Very nice and friendly, food was awesome very fulfilling and tasteful,will come back again!! Thanks for coming to Stoney Point area we need more Black Owned Businesses to support and come to our area!! Again Thanks

I absolutely enjoyed my self there and my family did as well. The owner came to our table introduced herself and check on us periodically through our dinner. The waiter was very polite and patient. The food was delicious and hot when it came to the table. I give them 10/10 and my family and I definitely will be returning.

The food was delicious, the service was great! Make your reservation as far ahead as possible. We made ours a week in advance and were very fortunate to get a table. The restaurant at the Stony Point location is still really new so be patient and everything will work out just fine. It is definitely worth it!!

Everything was perfect. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Loved the women’s restroom 💗 Great new location for Southern Kitchen. We were anxiously waiting for you to re-open at this location and we were not disappointed. The food was great, the restaurant beautiful and the service was above par. Thank you Amere for your excellent service. We had the fried catfish and Big Mama’s fried chicken and it was excellent. Will definitely come back and recommend to my friends. Thank you 😊

So excited for Shane’s growth and opportunity in this much larger space. The food was signature Southern Kitchen-good. The wait staff are always personable and highly competent. We’ll be back. Wishing Shane much success!

This was my first time eating at the new location. The food does not taste the same. Perhaps it’s a new chef. The waitress appeared to be new and was very forgetful. I’m hoping that they are just trying to get their footing right for now. I may try it again after they’ve been open for at least 6 months.

New location is nice but service and food quality does meet the expectation you would have for dining at Stony point. My meal and take out order was nothing to rave about which is the total opposite experience from when she was downtown. The overall experience was very disappointing and gave “catering to a particular demographic”. The overcooked rice & unseasoned catfish should explain what I mean. But I wish her business well.
